Japanese pop band TUBE gave a special performance to the fans in Hawaii at the 2008 Waikiki by Moonlight celebration. This was the 3rd Annual Waikiki by Moonlight celebration which was held on Kalakaua avenue between Kaiulani and Kealohilani avenue on Saturday May 31, 2008. Every year TUBE donates back to Hawaii by giving to the Easter Seals of Hawaii. This year as a surprise they performed three of their greatest hits ("Beach Time", "Season in the Sun" and "Koi shite Mucho"). They rocked the stage with an amazing show! CITY HUNTER & TUBE: 『 N・A・T・S・U 』
(NOTE: This has been entered into the AMV Alliance "Summer" Themed AMV Contest Category) Well folks, the summer season has begun, and in my mind, there is no better way to ring it in than to make an anime music video featuring a great Japanese band that has truly been synonymous with summer for the past 25+ years, and that band is TUBE!! For this AMV, the track of interest this time around is the title song from TUBE's 1990 album "NATSU", coupled with some peaceful (but not perfect) scenes from City Hunter 1, 2 & 3. My hope is that this will not only garner people's interest in the band TUBE (y'know, aside from their track in the 2nd Naruto movie), but get the word out about my channel, AND to remind all of you folks about the wonders of summer. 'Fame' Oscar Winner Dean Pitchford Interviewed at Mamiya Theater St. Louis High School
Dean Pitchford was honored by his high school alma mater for his contribution to theater and the arts and for his generous gifts to the school theater program. Fifty of his 1968 classmates came to the gala opening night to personally let him know how much they cared for him, for his talent, for his being a classmate. After the opening performance of 'Footloose', Dean met costar Will Long on stage for an inspirational interview about life, theater, and on giving back. I was on the camera and have to say that Dean was the most inspirational person I have seen in his ability to CONNECT with those around him-- adults, students, contributors to the St. Louis Arts Program. Some people just 'get it' and are able to pass it on. Dean Pitchford is one of those people. This video is intended to inspire the rest of us to get it and to pass it on.
