Kenya honours its heroes
www.ntv.co.ke Nobel laureate, the late Prof. Wangari Maathai and celebrated pediatrician and author Margaret Ogola, have been posthumously recognized as state heroes by President Kibaki, as the country observed its second Mashujaa Day.Also honoured, in what will probably go down as the shortest national day state function, owing to heavy rains, were the country's sportsmen and women. And as NTV's Jane Kiyo reports, although many Kenyans are happy with the government efforts to honour heroes and heroines, they still believe more can and should be done.
