Strange dear, but true dear, When I'm close to you, dear, The stars fill the sky, So in love with you am I. Even without you, My arms fold about you, You kno, darling why, So in love with you am I. In love with the night mysterious, The night when you first were there. In love with my joy delirious, The thought that you might care. So taunt me, and hurt me, Decieve me, desert me, I'm yours till I die, So in love with you am I

ED SHEERAN ON SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND . excellent show - fore more go to - edsheeran.com - On 8 January 2011, Sheeran released his final independent EP, No.5 Collaborations Project featuring appearances by grime artists including Wiley, JME, Devlin, Sway and Ghetts.[1] With this EP, Sheeran gained mainstream attention for reaching number 1 in the iTunes chart without any promotion or label, selling over 7000 copies in its first week.[8] Three months later, Sheeran put on a free show to fans at the Barfly in Camden. Over 1000 fans turned up to see the show, so Sheeran ended up playing four different shows to make sure everyone saw a gig, including a gig outside on the street after the venue had closed. Later that month, Sheeran was signed to Asylum / Atlantic Records. On 26 April, Sheeran appeared on the TV music show Later... with Jools Holland -- where he performed the song "The A Team". Six weeks later "The A Team" was released as a digital download in the United Kingdom. The release served as the lead single from Sheeran's debut studio album, entitled + -- which was released through Atlantic Records on 12 September 2011. "The A Team" entered the UK chart at number 3, selling over 58000 copies in the first week. It was congratulated on being the highest-selling and highest-charting debut single of 2011. Laura Marling - Sophia - on Jools Holland HQ video

for more go to - www.lauramarling.com - Marling was born in Hampshire, England, the youngest of three daughters of a music teacher, and learned guitar at an early age. Her father, who ran a recording studio, introduced her to folk music and shaped her musical taste. This was "a bit of a blessing and a bit of a curse. I couldn't slot myself into the age-appropriate genre", she later remembered. Marling was educated at Leighton Park School, a private Quaker school in Reading, Berkshire. She has said that during this time she felt uneasy around other people and had a fear of death.[4] At the age of 16 Laura Marling moved to London, where she soon became part of a cluster of intertwined bands drawn to acoustic instruments and tradition-tinged melodies which formed to movement labeled "nu-folk" by the British press. She became part of the original line-up of indie folk band Noah and the Whale and was romantically linked with singer/guitarist Charlie Fink. She is featured as a background vocalist on their debut album Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down; however, she left the group before the album's 2008 release and split up with Fink that same year. She also appeared on The Rakes track "Suspicious Eyes", from the band's 2007 album Ten New Messages, credited as 'Laura Marlin'. Marling would later collaborate with Mystery Jets, contributing guest vocals to the single "Young Love", released 10 March 2008. Producer Charlie Peacock began recording the duo at his Art House studio after hearing them perform. One of their early live performances was at Eddie's Attic and was recorded and released as an Internet download called Live at Eddie's Attic. Television producer Allan Heinberg placed their single "Poison & Wine" on an episode of Grey's Anatomy. The duo's 4-song EP, Poison & Wine was released two days later and debuted at No. 4 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Top Albums chart and was selected by iTunes as the "Best of 2010" singer/songwriter album. Late in 2010 Taylor Swift sent a Twitter message to her fans about the duo while the music video for Barton Hollow was added to the rotation at VH1 and CMT. The duo was selected as Paste Magazine's "Best of What's Next" and they performed their song "Barton Hollow" on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." In February 2011, The Civil Wars appeared on NPR's Weekend All Things Considered. In March 2011, The Civil Wars appeared on American Public Media's (formerly American Public Radio) "A Prairie Home Companion" and VH1 began playing the "Barton Hollow" video and added The Civil Wars to their list of "You Oughta Know" artists on the rise. In April 2011 the duo received airplay on both VH1 and CMT and was reported to be the first emerging act to receive simultaneous support from both networks.

James Morrison - A Place in the Sun - Jools Holland Live 2011

james jams with jools for more go to - www.jamesmorrisonmusic.com -- In 2010, Morrison announced that he had been working on his third studio album. In a June 2010 interview he stated "I've sung too many love ballads. I want to go a bit deeper than that and find more substance. I still don't feel confident enough to write by myself, but that is my aim. I just keep convincing myself that I'm not good enough. There are plenty of good singers out there -- it's writing that's the key thing. When I'm working with other people I've heard them say 'Let's try to write a James Morrison chorus.' I want to pretend that I haven't made any albums at all and start afresh."[18] Morrison has worked with Kara Dioguardi and Toby Gad for this album.[citation needed] He announced one of the tracks on the album might be called "The Awakening" saying, "I want to write about this idea of an awakening of some kind. I've written a song with that title, which I'm really happy with. There's some funky digeridoo going on".[18] In May he stated on his Facebook page that he had almost finished his album and would be releasing it very soon.[19] On July 11, he stated on his Twitter that the new album is called "The Awakening" and is due to release on September 26. The first single is I Won't Let You Go.[20] The tracklisting includes a duet with Jessie J on a track called "Up".[21] To promote the album, he ran a competition in conjunction with NUS and MUZU TV to offer students across the UK the chance ...

ED SHEERAN Jools Holland The A Team

CHECK OUT -- www.edsheeran.com - Early career (2005-2007)Sheeran began recording in 2005, which led to the release of his first EP, The Orange Room EP. Sheeran also released two albums, a self-titled one in 2006 and Want Some? in 2007. He moved to London in 2008 to play gigs, starting off in very small venues, playing every day. [edit] Breakthrough (2009-2011)In 2009, he played 312 gigs. Ed said that he read an interview with James Morrison that said that James had done 200 gigs in a year, so Ed said he wanted to beat him on this number. When he ran out of money, he left his flat he was renting and started 'sofa surfing' around London, he has been doing this ever since, even after he signed his deal. Also in 2009, he released another EP, You Need Me just before going on tour with Just Jack, and in February 2010 began to get noticed after he posted a video through SB.TV, which led to mainstream rapper Example asking Sheeran to tour with him. Also in February 2010 he released his second indie release, his critically acclaimed 'Loose Change' EP, which features one of his most popular songs 'The A Team'. A video was made for the song, and famously cost only £20 to make. In April 2010, after leaving his old management company, he bought a ticket to LA, with no contacts other than one poetry night. he played open mic nights all over LA, before being spotted at 'The Foxxhole' by Jamie Foxx, who invited him to stay at his house and record for the rest of his stay.
