Jan. 2, 2010 Davis, Calif. - Dominic Calegari scored 20 points and Joe Harden had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds Saturday night to lead UC Davis to a 67-63 victory over Cal State Fullerton in both teams' Big West Conference opener. Calegari made two clinching free throws with 21 seconds to play as the Aggies improved to 5-8. Gerard Anderson had 13 points and 9 rebounds and Aaron Thompson had 11 points and 6 rebounds for the Titans, who began the week leading the Big West in free-throw percentage but made only 13 of 28 free throw attempts and fell to 5-7. Davis led most of the game including 37-26 at the half and by as many as 14 points early in the second half, the last time at 42-28. But the Titans, who missed 11 of their first 16 free throws, drew as close as 46-40, fell back to 60-47 but came back again. The win was Fullerton's seventh in a row at the Matadome and improved its record to 13-11 overall and 7-5 for sole possession of third place in the Big West. Northridge fell to 9-16, 4-7.
