Old Aladdin model 23 burner vs Ehrich & Graetz Brenner Matador burner kerosene lamps vs Coleman 202 white gas pressure lantern. The Coleman was made in 1955, The Aladdin 23 the 1960's and the Ehrich & Graetz around 1895. I purchased them at garage sales and the Brenner Matador off ebay for fairly cheap, cleaned them up and tinkered with them and now they all work great. The oil lamps produce a surprising amount of light for what they are. They would easily light up a good size room and you could certainly read by them. They are good on fuel and would work great as backup lighting, camping or living off-grid.

This is a compilation of runs of the 5K18 Rocket Engine, with some slow motion for better observation of the effect of the engine thrust on the stand, which is anchored securely to the ground for the test. Visible are ice particles being disloged from the LOX lines as well as a piece of foil tape at the beginning. The XR-5K18 is the main propulsion engine for XCOR's Lynx suborbital spacecraft.

HELP!!! Coleman Kerosene Lantern, 200A Model
I'm pretty excited about a Coleman Kerosene Lantern given to me by a neighbor. It was in excellent condition when I received it. I cleaned it up a bit since it was sitting in the neighbor's garage for many years. I thought it would be a simple action to get it to function, but I'm unsure of what I could do to get it to work. I'd appreciate any help from the numerous Coleman Kerosene Lantern experts I know exist out there. :) Thanks for the help!

Liquid Nitrous Oxide/Kerosene Rocket Engine
This is the 5th run of a rocket engine I designed and built. It originally was going to use 80% pure hydrogen peroxide and kerosene and then I switched to LOX and kerosene and ultimately I wound up using liquid nitrous oxide and kerosene since nitrous is cheaper, more plentiful and doesn't have to be at -300 F to be a liquid. I designed it to have 200 lbs thrust while using hydrogen peroxide and kerosene but since it was already built by the time I switched to nitrous and kerosene I was unable to change it to match the propellants to produce the 200 lbs thrust. Therefore on it's first run the thrust peaked at 120 lbs since and on this run peaked at 100 lbs. Email me at rocket_ken@hotmail.com if you have any comments or questions.

This is a video on how i light up a Primus 1020 brass lanterns from 1938. I do not know if my method is the right way to do this but it allways works.. The lantern uses Kerosene for fuel and spirit ( Metanol) for the preheating.
