In 2009, the Golden State Theater in Monterey, CA held a screening of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. The guest of honor was director Irvin Kershner. He spoke for around an hour after the movie, sharing stories of the making. This portion of the conversation picks up with him talking about what he thought when he first saw Star Wars. The story then goes into him discussing how he got the job for Empire. Sadly, my camera battery died so I was only able to get these few minutes. Luckily we now have this story. On behalf of every fanboy everywhere Mr. Kershner, thank you for giving us the best science fiction movie of all time.
