The girl, a student at USIU was heading back to the university when unknown people stopped her asking for directions. According to police, the suspected kidnappers ambushed her and forced her into the car and gave her a drink, which made her unconscious. The girl was later taken hostage in this house in Kiringiti, Kiambu County. According to the caretaker the suspected kidnappers rented the house 4 days ago. The suspects had earlier asked the parents of the girls a ransom of 90000 shillings. Police say, they got a tip about the location of the hideout. Kiambu OCPD said they are yet to make any arrests.
