Yom Kippur or kip Purim is the day of coverings, or the Atonement. This is the holiest day of the year to those that serve the creator of all things. The act of being covered is being reconciled back to our creator and goes back to the garden and stretches forward to the second coming of Christ. After Adam's transgression, he and his wife covered themselves with fig leaves. This was an insufficient covering, so the Most High YHWH, covered them with the skins of an animal. By covering them with an animal we thereby have the first sacrifice for sin without it being mentioned. The animals blood was shed for the spiritual covering (as blood must be shed to make an atonement for sin), and the animal's skin provided a natural covering. Likewise we had an insufficient or temporary covering with the act of animal sacrifices, but a better sacrifice was found in Yahshua, whose blood became our spiritual covering. This of course typifies the Passover in which the blood of the lamb covers the people from the destroyer that came and killed all the first born of the Egyptians. After man's fall from perfection, a plan was put in place to put him back into the garden, his earthen paradise. This plan includes a set of Holy Days that systematically reconcile us back to the creator. Each Holy Day is an important step towards Reconciliation, and none of the process can be left out.
