
Right then, this is the third video follows on from the other two that I have already posted, and includes some modifications too, so total redesigns, the pedal box, the exhaust system, the fitting of the fuel tank and the fabrication of the inner body panals and their trimming. The original front upper wishbone was found to be 'JUST' catching the coil spring, so I modified this by adding a curved front section and then adding an additional brace fo strength. The gearbox, as many of you know, requires an extension to place the gearlever in the correct position. Due to the size of my car however there wasnt one to buy so I made my own, looks easy but the real tricky bit is locating the stops and the reverse block, however a little trial and error soon sorted that out and now all is well. The pedal box is a very simple thing to fabricate, and avoids the bias braking system that isnt allowed (unless welded up) by the IVA examiners. Its the bog standard ford item minus the servo system. I have also got some rather nice alminium pedal fronts to add to the finished box, but thought it would be better to leave them off so I could take some pictures solely of the box. A pedal box will cost you about £150 for a very basic on th around £400 for a good one, this pedal box cost me £27 only and that was spent on the aluniniun fronts. it was made entirly of off cuts that I saved during my chassis build :) Next the fuel injection system, I ordered one in at a cost of over £200 and wasnt <b>...</b>
