Only in a Donetsk region about 320 children with congenital heart disease are born annually. About 40% of them are critical, so they will die during first month or first year of life without treatment. DCPCSC is a Department of Gusak Institute of Urgent and Recovery Surgery (IURS), which is one of the leading hospitals in Ukraine.
