The film is set in an unspecified region of medieval Europe, given the French character names and Italian place names. Phillipe "The Mouse" Gaston, a peasant thief, is imprisoned in the dungeons of Aquila and set for execution for his petty crimes — but he escapes by crawling through the prison sewers to freedom. He flees into the countryside away from the city. His escape comes to the attention of the evil Bishop of Aquila, who rules over the region with an iron grip. The dungeons of Aquila are considered to be inescapable and so the Bishop fears that news of Phillipe's escape could "ignite the flames of rebellion". The Bishop sends his captain of the guard, Marquet, into the country to find Phillipe and kill him. Movie From The Joan D.Vinge Book... With; Michelle Pfeiffer as Isabeau D'Anjou, the Hawke. Rutger Hauer as Captain Etienne Navarre, the Wolf. Isabeau is a fair, beautiful woman, and she is in love with Etienne Navarre. He is the Captain of the Bishop's Knights, and loves her, too. But the Bishop is secretly in love with Isabeau; his passion is dark and insane. When he discovers the two lovers, they are forced to leave L'Aquila; but the Bishop calls for the Devil powers and casts a spell. They will be always together, but eternally apart: duting the day, Isabeau turns into a Hawk, while when the moon rise, Navarre bacomes a black Wolf. There is only a way to break the spell: they have to fight against the Bishop, man and woman. This seems to be impossible when, during an eclipse, sun and moon are seen together, and so Isabeau and Navarre; he kills the Bishop, the curse is broken...

www.A3Network.com. Ladyhawke "My Delirium". Soon after the New Zealand band Two Lane Blacktop (named after the Monte Hellman movie) broke up in 2003, guitarist Pip Brown moved to Sydney, Australia. She worked with several bands in the area, including Teenager and Pnau, before launching her own act in 2006. Adopting the name Ladyhawke (named after the Richard Donner movie), she handled instrumental duties herself and fashioned a fresh electronic sound. She relocated once more at the end of 2007, this time to London, where she recorded her debut album with the help of several different producers. The result was a strongly '80s-influenced record, with particular emphasis on the synthesizer. The eponymous album's first single, "Back of the Van," was produced by Michael Di Francesco from Sydney band Van She, who also produced the "Van She Tech Turbo Fire Engine Mix" of the song. ~ Jody Macgregor, All Music Guide
