LAJ(Los Angeles Junction) - Ghost of CF7 #2619
This 60 years old unit (also other CF7s) is supposedly retired and out of service in 2008! After I saw the disney Christmas train at Commerce, I decided to stay longer around the town. Went to BNSF Malabar yard in Vernon to see something going on. When I arrived at the yard, BNSF's about finish the job, oh well, so I changed my location and found this unit is still alive! Los Angeles Junction Railway, CF7 is working around Vernon, CA. 1) #2619 (with two hoppers) is leaving @ Leonis Bl/Seville Ave 2) passing Soto street. (a BNSF container blocked my view!) 3) picked up a reefer/box car @ US Growers Cold Storage. 4) @ Boyle Ave grade crossing, headed back to LAJ yard.

Filmed on 5/31/11 & 6/3/11. This is about BNSF railway Malabar yard to LAJ(Los Angeles Junction Railway) transfer job. I was hoping for Santa Fe Warbonnet or Yellow/Blue Bonnet but they got two orange units for 5 months. This job starts at the Malabar yard in Vernon, California, heading back to the harbor junction, go south via BNSF San Bernardino sub, and then take Union Pacific San Pedro sub to LAJ A yard in Vernon, California. BNSF 3170, 3151 & a BN caboose on the rear.
