Algorithms Lesson 5: Linear and Binary Searching

xoax.net For this algorithms video lesson, we explain and demonstrate graphically how to perform the linear and binary search algorithms with a pseudocode implementations. Additionally, we give a speed comparison for the two searches. C++ code for the algorithms is available on our lesson page at xoax.net Please submit all questions to our forum: xoax.net

Solving Systems by Graphing - YourTeacher.com - Algebra Help

For a complete lesson on solving systems by graphing, go to www.yourteacher.com - 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn to solve a system of linear equations by graphing. The first step is to graph each of the given equations, then find the point of intersection of the two lines, which is the solution to the system of equations. If the two lines are parallel, then the solution to the system is the null set. If the two given equations represent the same line, then the solution to the system is the equation of that line. Regression #3: Standard Error in Linear Regression

A simple (two-variable) regression has three standard errors: one for each coefficient (slope, intercept) and one for the predicted Y (standard error of regression). While the population regression function (PRF) is singular, sample regression functions (SRF) are plural. Each sample produces a (slightly?) different SRF. So, the coefficients exhibit dispersion (sampling distribution). The standard error is the measure of this dispersion: it is the standard deviation of the coefficient.
