Linux Mint 12 Review - Linux Distro Reviews

A review of the much-anticipated Linux Mint 12 'Lisa' operating system. Overall, this distribution bridges a wide gap between the traditional desktop interface, and the future desktop of Gnome 3. Top of the line open-source applications with custom Mint tools make for a very nice, albeit limited, user experience. I like the direction that Linux Mint 12 is headed, but there are still some implementation tweaks that need to be made in both Gnome 3's Mint Gnome Shell Extensions (MGSE) and the Gnome 2 fork MATE desktop environment. Let me know what you think below! Thanks again everyone and more vids are on the way!

Fedora 15 Review - Linux Distro Reviews

An in-depth look at Fedora 15 Lovelock, sporting the new stable GNOME 3 desktop and GNOME Shell. Fedora is a well supported distribution, and the fusion of GNOME Shell and Fedora's base creates an innovative, modern and polished desktop for the Linux enthusiast and power user. Definitely a great peek into the future of desktop Linux and it's a substantially widget base than GNOME and GTK 2.x. Very polished, and arguably much better (think finished) than Unity.

Arch Linux with KDE 4.7

First time installing Arch Linux. Very impressed so far with this OS. From 2002 I was using only SuSE on all my PC's, but from now on things are about to change. Arch Package Manager "Pacman" is very good. Many think that the installation of Arch is difficult, for me it was one of the easiest to install, and at the end I started to work with a great OS build on my preferences.

Welcome to Linux: 10 Reasons to Switch!

I am a "Windows Power User" and today I am sharing with you TEN reasons why I switched to Linux. Over the years I have tried a number of Linux distributions. Improvements in the kernel and usability influenced my decision to change. If you think you would like to try Linux there are 2 distributions that are really easy to use and have great support on their website. Since these operating systems are based on Ubuntu, you can also get support on Ubuntu's forums as well. Choice 1: Zorin OS zorin-os.com Choice 2 LinuxMINT www.linuxmint.com Choice 3 Pinguy OS -This is what I am using now... I recommend trying Zorin or Mint first as those are beginner friendly. Pinguy OS is what I would call a hybrid of Ubuntu and Mint with a few extras thrown in... Show note: This video supersedes my first video of the same title. I wanted a better quality video to post on my blog and my personal homepage. I would like to thank everyone who decided to place my original video on their website. Please update your links to this video as I will be removing the original within a few weeks. I will also place this message on my bulletin. Thanks ;)

You are the Tetrobot: a tiny robot that can drill blocks of matter one by one, collect them, and recycle them into new pieces of 4 blocks. You also have the possibility to destroy lines of 8+ blocks in a very «retro russian» game style. Sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, diamond: each matter has its specific behaviour you'll have to use wisely and take advantage of them. So get ready to use your brain and combine your platforming and puzzle-solving skills in this incredible mashup!

A review of the (Joli)cloud-based operating system Joli OS 1.2. Overall, a very snappy, lightweight distribution blending the cloud with locally installed apps.
