. The goddess that is Virna Lisi. I didn't include Virna in the montage of clips of "Who's the Queen of Peplum cinema" because she did few S&S films, the two that comes to mind is Duel of the Titans and this swashbuckling comedy co-starring Vittorio Gassman called A Virgin for the Prince. Here is a lounge song by Robby Poitevin, chosen to illustrate the beauty of Virna Lisi. Virna Lisi (born in 1937 as Virna Lisa Pieralisi) is an Italian film actress. She began her film career as a teenager in 1953. Often cast for her stunning looks, her early films included "La Donna del giorno" (1956), "Don't Tempt the Devil" (1962) and the Italian-made spectacle "Romolo e Remo" (1961). The pert and sexy star also tried her hands at Hollywood comedy as a tempting blue-eyed blonde starring opposite Jack Lemmon in "How to Murder Your Wife" (1965), and appearing with Tony Curtis in "Not with My Wife, You Don't!" (1966). In later decades, however, she began to be perceived as more than just a tasty dish, giving a wide variety of mature, award-winning performances. It all culminated in the role of a lifetime with the film "La Reine Margot" (1994), in which she played a marvelously malevolent Catherine de Medici and won both the César and Cannes Film Festival awards, not to mention the David di Donatello award, the Italian version of the "Oscar". She alternated filming activity with television and stage acting, namely at Piccolo Teatro di Milano, where she did "I giacobini" by Federico Zardi, under the direction of Giorgio Strehler. She was one of the stars launched as a successor to Marilyn Monroe in the United States, in the late 1960's. Bueno ste es un pekeño homenaje a una gran banda del rock nacional SUMO...disfruten el tema con las fotos y la letra del tema xD ----------Biografia---------- Sumo: "Luca Prodam y Timmy Mckern eran compañeros de estudio en Inglaterra. Por distintos motivos ambos regresan a la Argentina, Mckern en 1979 y Luca un año después, instalándose en Córdoba donde conoce a Germán Daffunchio (guitarrista). De Londres trae a Stephanie Nuttall (baterista) y luego se acopla al grupo Alejandro Sokol. Así quedó formado el primer Sumo con Timmy como manager. En 1981 deciden tocar en pequeños pubs de Buenos Aires, pero su debut sería en Carolines pub (Palomar) en 1982, al mismo tiempo que se sumaba al grupo Diego Arnedo. En marzo de ese año tocaron en el estadio de Estudiantes de Buenos Aires junto a bandas como Riff, Los Abuelos de la nada y Baglietto entre otros. En abril del 82 hay un cambio interno, Sokol pasa a la batería y Arnedo al bajo, ya que por la guerra de Malvinas, Stephanie decide volver a Inglaterra. Despiden al año en el estadio Obras junto a los Violadores. En 1983 termina uniéndose al grupo Roberto Pettinato para tocar el saxo y así graban su primer disco titulado Corpiños en la madrugada. Luego se va de la banda Alejandro Sokol y entra Alberto Troglio (batería), se une también Ricardo Mollo (guitarra). HOMMAGE A VIRNA LISI Musique: Ennio Morricone - Chi Mai Virna Lisi (née Piéralisi) est une actrice italienne née le 8 septembre 1937 à Ancône en Italie. Virna Lisi débute sur grand écran à seulement 16 ans dans 'E Napoli canta'. Le physique de Virna ne passe pas inaperçu et se fait engager très rapidement dans des films aussi différents que des péplums 'Romulus et Rémus' (1961), des comédies avec Toto ou plus ambitieux avec Joseph Losey (Eva, 1962). D'emblée la jeune comédienne, tombée par hasard dans le cinéma, se fait remarquer par sa beauté naturelle. Son physique s'adapte bien aux films à costumes comme 'Caterina Sforza, leonessa di Romagna' (1958). Au cinéma, elle a pour partenaire Toto tandis qu'au théâtre, le metteur en scène Giorgio Strehler ou Michelangelo Antonioni la demandent.
