This tool-assisted speedrun aims to complete The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in as little time as possible, while getting every Spiritual Stone and Medallion, and completing every Trial in Ganon's Castle. The author does this by exploiting many tricks and glitches, which would not be seen in a modern any% run. This run was made on an emulator, with slowdown,frame-by-frame shooting, savestates and rerecords. It is NOT meant to show skill, but rather the game pushed to its limits. My pick of Video Game Music of the Week for the week of June 21, 2008. Now here's a game that had some amazing music. The Legend of Zelda often have a lot of musical themes in them, but Majora's Mask was probably the darkest in many aspects, and it's music reflected that. Dark sombre music set the tone of Link's second adventure on the Nintendo 64, as he struggled to save Termina from the twisted Skull Kid and the ever falling moon. So I give you the Oath to Order. In my opinion, one of the best songs from what could be considered one of the best games ever made.

This tool-assisted speedrun by MrGrunz (me) aims to beat The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask in as little a time as possible by abusing several tricks and glitches. I know you guys had to wait long for this (actually planned on finishing this in like early 2010), but here it is. good quality needs time, which apllies to the actual TAS and also to the encode. The TAS was finished over a month ago already, but I decided to wait for Aktan to encode this first before publishing it on youtube, so I could provide this very high quality encode. Huge thanks to him for doing such an amazing job. It was made on an emulator, using frame-by-frame shooting, savestates, and rerecords to overcome things like reaction time and human error. As such, it is purely a form of entertainment, and is not designed to show skill. The various tricks and glitches, such as the Fairy Fountain Wrong Warp Glitch and Bottle Duplication Glitch, have been described by me here: tasvideos.org This TAS is the result of 2 years of hard work on the game. Please note that this involves pulling out the left side of the cartridge (AKA the crooked cartridge), so use at your own risk. What you will need to do is make sure you have an empty file to do this on. First, select your name, but do not select "End" quite yet. Get ready to perform the CC trick. As soon as you press "End", quickly pull the left side of the cartridge out (but just far enough so the sound become distorted). Once it is done saving, push the left side of the cartridge back in and start the game. There are two things that will indicate that you have done it right: 1) After the blurb at the beginning that talks about Link's history in Hyrule, a white screen appears. If you can see a blank "B" icon and an "A" icon that says "Next", you have done a crooked cartridge trick. Not necessarily the one we're looking for, but you've done one of them. And 2) If, when you see Link, he has a shield but no sword. If both of the above are true then you have done the trick correctly. It's used to get things like the bomb bag and the light arrows.
