This report is an edited version of an interview shot in a secret location in the Congolese jungle in 2006. It remains the first and only exclusive interview that Joseph Kony has ever given. Kony is the most wanted man in Africa and the leader of the 'Lords Resistance Army'. In his 25-year rebellion Joseph Kony has led a brutal insurgency in Northern Uganda and is accused of murdering 10000 people and abducting 25000, many of them children. He is wanted by the international criminal court on 33 charges including include murder, enslavement, sexual enslavement and rape. It took nearly a year of negotiations for Kony to agree to this interview in which he claims the LRA have never been involved in any abductions, rapes or mutilations. President Obama has just announced to Congress this past Friday October 14, 2011 to send 100 US troops, also known as combat-equipped military advisers, to Uganda. The Lord's Resistance Army is a corrupt heterodox Christian group, which operates in northern Uganda and South Sudan. The group used to operate mainly in northern Uganda and also in parts of South Sudan. The LRA was formed in 1987 and until about 2007 it was engaged in an armed rebellion against the Ugandan government led by Joseph Kony, who proclaims himself God's "spokesperson" and a spirit medium, primarily of the Holy Spirit. As a messianic Christian fundamentalist, Kony's obsessive intent was to overthrowing Uganda's government and replacing it with one based on the Ten Commandments - oddly enough, the Law is exactly what Christ shed blood to take away, abolish and fulfill over 2000 years ago. Over 30000 children have been abducted by the religious Joseph Kony and His "Lord's Resistance Army" in Uganda. Children stolen with the purpose of serving as child soldiers, sex slaves and porters since 1987. Joseph would preach to them a superstition encouraging soldiers to use oil to draw a cross on their chest as a protection from bullets. Relief organizations report that as many as 50000 children have been abducted and 1.7 million people have been displaced because of this religious organized crime scheme.
