S&W 500 Magnum ultra slow motion. It is my understanding that this was filmed by S&W during an investigation into accidental doubletaps. This 20 second clip was originally the first two seconds of a 30 second clip that I cropped and slowed down to show the cylinder gap flash.

This is a video of my son shooting some 3 inch Magnum slugs out of his Mossberg 500 12 Gauge Shotgun. This is his first time firing the 3 inch slugs and he said they really pack some punch. Coonan 357 Magnum firing at 600 frames/second slow motion
The Coonan 357 Magnum automatic filmed at 600 frames per second. The video plays back between 20 times and 320 times slower than actual. In the first shot you can see the slug as a short streak a few inches from the barrel.

The camera was on a tripod right in front of me, with the gun just off to the left. It goes out of frame pretty fast but it captured the muzzle blast pretty nicely. I had to cover the serial number in this video too, it was easily readable as the gun got closer to the camera during recoil.

If you ever had the pleasure to shoot a .44 Magnum before, you know it's quite a beast. I was very impressed on how this woman, who NEVER shot a .44 magnum before handled this "Dirty Harry" gun. - It was a LITTLE too dark to film in high speed but we knew we'd capture some nice fireballs.
