Taken at 10.15pm on August 9th, 2011, in Manchester. Tactical Aid Unit London Riot Police beat alleged teenage rioters on bicycles try to flee city centre, and blockade the street. The sound you can hear in the background is the helicopter overhead, which had been hovering around the area for about 10 minutes, tracking them with its spotlight. The man on the bike gets up on his own, and is ushered to the side of the road by a policeman. Another man with a bike is questioned, and allowed to continue on. After seeming to question those they had caught for a few minutes, the two teams met at the top of the hill and left with the TAU van, heading back towards the city centre. A group of young people were biking along a street when officers ran them down, slamming one suspect to the ground and beating him with batons. The video is said to have been taken two days ago, at the peak of the violence in the country. Police have promised an investigation. The Northern Quarter of Manchester at around 9pm on the first day. This is the 3rd video I made of day ones events. I was attempting to return to my apartment above the Tesco's on Church St. to collect some items, which had been smashed up a few hours earlier. It turned into a proper mission. Unfortunately at the end my camera died, but i made it back to my mates! As with my first 2 vids I apologise for my bad language :-)
