The first ¾ of this film is factual and useful. However, at the end it provides the usual moral distortion currently popular about America's use of the atomic bomb to end WWII. First, the main motive for dropping the bomb was not Russia but American casualties. The American leadership was not indifferent to the spread of Soviet domination. However, at the time of decision the battle of Okinawa was still going on and Truman was looking at casualty reports of 5000 a week and had been seeing those reports for weeks. In all, there were over 72000 American casualties in this battle. So high was the casualty rate that congress called for an investigation. Over 200000 Japanese died on Okinawa. It is not known how many were wounded. Over 30 American ships were sunk and 164 were damaged. By comparison, only 9 ships were sunk and 14 damaged at Pearl Harbor. Several thousand American and Japanese aircraft were lost, far more than were lost in the Battle of Britain. In fact, more aircraft were lost at Okinawa than the entire June, 1940 combat strength of the RAF and Luftwaffe combined. Thus, the small island of Okinawa was one of the largest battles of World War II. It was estimated that there would be up to 1000000 American casualties if we had to invade and conquer Japan. Japanese casualties were estimated to be ten times higher. So many Purple Heart Medals were manufactured in anticipation of the casualties from the invasion that to this day wounded soldiers are awarded Purple <b>...</b>

In an unprecedented gathering, 11 scientists who helped develop the first atomic bomb discuss their roles and experiences at a 2008 CUNY symposium related to the opera Doctor Atomic. The discussion begins with an overview by Harold Agnew, the former director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, who was involved in almost all aspects of the Manhattan Project and wrote Chicago, Los Alamos, Tinian Island and the Atomic Bomb. The other scientists speaking are Albert Bartlett, Benjamin Bederson, Robert J. Brown, Morton Camac, Hans Courant, Roy Glauber, E. Leonard Jossem, Nathan T. Melamed, Murray Peshkin and Tom Wartik.
Electrical Engineer Roland V. Fitzroy (1922-2004) worked on the Manhattan Project at Berkeley with Robert Oppenheimer and others after he was sent to Oak Ridge in Tennessee to weed out potential spies in the system. He later went on to do important work for General Electric at KAPL (Knolls Atomic Power Lab) in Schenectady, New York. He was involved in separating U-235 from U-238 for the war effort. Fermi, a granddaughter of Enrico Fermi, one of the key physicists of the Manhattan Project, began her quest to document the project after finding a color snapshot of the world's first atomic blast amid family photos in a shoebox. Well....I think this is the first video of WOZMA, the SECRET BOSS from DUKE NUKEM MANHATTAN PROJECT. Earlier, I did a video showing the X3000. And so, after you beat the whole game in Hard mode, and obtain 10 nukes in each level, you can access to this secret part. Just finish the game in Hard Mode, obtaining 10 nukes in each level. After that, play again level 8-3, and again obtain 10 nukes. Here are curious things: - This level is a little crazy, you can obtain sometines 10 nukes, and other times 11 nukes. Just remember that in the RoboDuke part are 2 nukes, so you have to leave the chamber before with 8 or 9 nukes. Some nukes just spawns inside some robots, and they appears one time and other time not. Is a "nice" level, lol xD. - Of course here you can use the X3000 Thundergun, because you have had to pass the whole game and obtain it before trying to get Wozma. Is much easier using the secret thundergun. *By the way, to get to the secret boss, you can't die or reload in the whole level; you have to pass 8-3 clearly, without dying or reloading game. Anyway, here in this video you can see me passing the whole 8-3 level, using of course the X3000. I obtained 11 nukes this time. After that, reach up to the chest from RoboDuke, and as you see, take the path down. There you get thr Hidden Secret Boss: WOZMA!!!! At first i thought it was some sort of insect or wasp or something, because of the name...but is just a huge huge ball of GLOP or something very similar. It have a <b>...</b>

This is from the videogame "DUKE NUKEM MANHATTAN PROJECT". After you pass every level and collected from each one of them 10 nukes (there are 8 episodes, with 3 levels each), you will get to fight the final boss Mech Morphix, and after you beat him the game tells you that you got the "special bonus weapon": THE X3000 THUNDERGUN. I think this is the first video here in youtube and on the internet that takes a look of this special weapon in this game. Is really such a nice weapon, that with just a shot destroys every monster in the screen. Notes that only destroys monsters, pigs, insects, robots, etc., but not enviroment or roaches eggs. Also see the video, that every monster explodes, even if it's very far in the background. Every monster explodes in just one shot, even final bosses in each third level in every episode. Enjoy!
