Perimeter Marble Run RBS
Here is a perimeter marble run around my sons room. The track runs around the entire room near the ceiling. The supports are walnut and a majority of the tracks and other parts are birch. Gear motors are run by "AA" battery packs. The marbles are 1 inch diameter. Marble Machine 3
This is a wooden marble machine. It is 6 feet tall, and is powered only by potential energy, a little kinetic energy and gravity. there are no motors, batteries or cranks. It uses a 3/8 inch diameter steel marble, which starts at the bottom, and goes to the top, and then returns to the bottom,making this trip about 1300 times in 24 hours.

Rolling Ball Marble Machine 2
It's bigger, its badder and its got more balls. Marble machine 2.0 is a 2ft x 2ft x 2ft rolling ball marble machine made with wood, rebar tie wire and polyurethane tubing. Pour room temperature water into a disposable cup or a glass cup or even a shot glass, almost to the top. Open all bottles of polish and place them within reach. The reason you have your nail polishes ready is because you will have to work fairly quickly. 2. Drop one or two drops of polish onto the surface of the water. The nail polish should spread out and make a circle on the water. If it drops to the bottom without creating a circle on the surface, try a different nail polish. This color is your base color for the marble effect, meaning it will show the most. (Try not to hold your brush to high or the polish will drop to the bottom and also use a polish that is thin) FYI, thicker nail polishes tend to have problems <b>...</b>

Purple Zebra Water Marble
Here's another water marble - yay! - READ here...below. I kinda spent ages dripping several colours and making different patterns until I could come up with something that didn't look retarded, and here it is. I didn't intend a Zebra in the beginning but i thought that's what it turned out like so... um, yeah. Zebra. Zebras are purple - well the ones in my back garden are anyway. Marble Machine - Máquina de canicas
This is a marble machine I built during the course of one month (mid January - mid February 2010). I included some slow motion clips and details of the mechanisms. It has 3 elevating mechanisms: -A large and small disc embedded on the same piece of wood. -An antigravity Disc (Uses Neodymium magnets) -A set of stairs Everything is powered manually although I intended to motorize it (you can see a white plastic gear somewhere in there) but couldn't find a motor strong enough to do it. Notice that the stairs use a sinusoidal curve to thrust the marble up, I find this to be a more efficient (in terms of speed) way of making them instead of the traditional two by two. Also notice the "switch" in the loading part of the antigravity disc, it prevents to marbles to go up at the same time. I designed, cut, carved and glued everything by myself, I hope you like it :)
