On Thursday June 16, 2011 Rebecca Black's infamous "Friday" music video was removed from Youtube "due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black." It turns out Black and her team are battling Ark Music Factory over the rights to the song, which became a Youtube sensation when it garnered 160 million views. Ark began charging $2.99 per view of the clip, prompting Black and her lawyer to issue a takedown notice to Youtube and get litigious. Black's parents originally paid Ark $4000 to produce the song and video for their 13 year-old daughter. On Friday June 17, the music video briefly reappeared online through Vevo as a director's cut. Or so it seemed. Black did not have an official Vevo channel, according to her rep, and that video was also taken down... leaving the Internet — at least for now — without one of its favorite targets of ridicule. But that's exactly what the 32 year-old comedian will be doing during the Discovery channel's celebrated 24th annual "Shark Week" debuting July 31, 2011. Samberg's title of Chief Shark Officer required him to bite off more than he could chew -- including a stunt where he fell backwards into shark-infested waters from a desk. "The pitch was that I would get to fly to the Bahamas and literally swim with sharks, and I was thinking there's no way I would ever have the balls do do that on my own, so I went for it." He admits falling backwards blindly into sharks, even if they're gentle Caribbean reef sharks, scared him. "But I had to just kind of ignore it. I went into Braveheart mode," Samberg told Entertainment Weekly in their June 17 issue. Since it's premiere in 1987, "Shark Week" has become cable's longest-running, and one of its most highly watched, events -- averaging over 20 million viewers each summer. Day turned into night as the epic plumes of dust rolled over the mountains and clogged the skies over and around Phoenix. Residents rushed inside as a mile-high wall of sand from the storm blasted the area in winds of up to 50 miles per hour. The storm downed trees, tossed yard furniture and erased visibility across a hundred mile region at its peak Tuesday evening. Up to 10000 residents were without power and some flights into Phoenix's airport were canceled as a result of the storm.
