I'd like to thank the members of mariokartwii.com for helping me through this thing and vgmaps.com for having the perfect map for the job. Here is my first custom track made for Mario Kart Wii, a recreation of GBA Mario Circuit. A little thing missing is the booster on the small path next to the start. I accidentally deleted all of the models needed to easily create the booster right where it should be, so you'll just have to settle with an extra item box. It replaces N64 Mario Raceway. This is MrBean35000vr again, and for this video, I threw myself head-first into a random room of relatively high ranking racers and did battle with them for first place, with much random item usage, fails and dodgy saves, all for your entertainment. I raced for about 3 hours then picked the best 3 to be shown. And the result it what you see here! 3 races are featured, Rainbow Road, GCN Mario Circuit and N64 Bowser's Castle, all of which were quite eventful and very fun to play, and I hope you enjoy them. Once again I dragged in Chadderz for commentary, and I seriously need to give him great thanks for being able to cope with my random gigglefits while we were attempting to record it :P Anyways, if this proves popular at all, I'll do more races at random to see if I can gather any other good material, and record more of the other tracks in the game. [MKDS] Yeah sir, THIS is Mario Circuit 1!
Allright, so after getting the 3lap WR I got motivated to play SNES Mario Circuit 1 even more! So I decided to make like a ranking (finally it's been a top 10) of the karts that could PRB. I didn't add Standard Toad and Banisher because they were slower and harder to complete a lap, and Cucumber is almost impossible. In order to give more opportunities to unused karts, I made the lap with shrooms so they don't lose too much time at the end. This was the result: #01 BLS - 12.749 #02 ST Rob - 12.789 #03 Poltergust - 12.899 #04 Egg 1 - 12.909 #05 ST Luigi - 12.999 #06 Shooting Star - 13.056 #07 ST Yoshi - 13.076 #08 Drybomber - 13.196 #09 Mushmellow - 13.266 #10 ST Drybones 13.282 Funny how Shooting Star is in the middle of the list. I also need to say that some of these times are weaker than others, I got BLS in exactly 3 min, but ST Rob really took me a WHILE, since it's too easy to lose PRB with it. However going between pipes wasnt as hard because the kart is a bit slower than BLS and requires fast mts so I have more chances to go between them. Egg 1 is also weak considering that my Best Split non-shroomer is 12.910 (+0.001). Then I'd have liked to add some 3lap times with different karts but I haven't got time to get them and I won't be able to record again until next month, so I added the flap WR (12.316) with ROB, and my egg1 PR I got recently, both recorded with Desmume as I noticed some people are starting recording with it. Bomb-omb Battlefield music from Super Mario 64 DS ported to Mario Kart DS. It screwed up most of the music, so I had to disable some songs to prevent the game from crashing. Porting means: taking data from one game, and putting it into another game. Savestate: www.mediafire.com Simply load the savestate in DeSmuME while emulating the US version of Mario Kart DS. So I decided to try Automatic drifting instead of manual, since I heard about some neat stuff done through that mode. For instance, as I'm typing this, the world record for GCN DK Mountain is done on Automatic--with a kart, no less. Apparently, the karts and bikes with the high drift rating are meant for Automatic, not Manual. Manual drifting is good for medium to low-drift vehicles. I tested this out with Baby Daisy, my latest unlocked character, with the Quacker, a bike with a high drift. (If the character roster looks complete, it isn't. There are seven more characters for me to get, plus a multitude of vehicles to unlock.) Normally, I don't like using bikes, since everybody else uses them, but...look at that thing! It's a rubber ducky! And no one seems to use it online. The humiliation that people must face when they find their tough competition coming from a toddler version of a much-hated (but also much-liked) character riding on an equally babyish contraption. Race #1 SNES Mario Circuit 3 You know, I always thought that Mario Circuit 3 was more difficult than Mario Circuit 4. What I thought they'd put in, however, was Mario Circuit 2, since it has a jump. Anyway, it looks like I've adjusted to Automatic pretty quickly. Notice the lack of mini-turbos; you don't use them on Automatic, but that's just fine, considering that I pulled a pretty strong performance here. After the end of the race, you can get a pretty good view of this place. It looks pretty neat in 3-D <b>...</b>

I joined this race and witnessed 2 FTW hackers both named HackerCop using unlimited stars to try and hack to win. Like most FTW hackers, these guys were noobs since they pretty much only had the unlimited star and hacking before countdown hacks.
