As we previously reported, marvels, the avengers passed the billion dollar mark and marvel plans to keep their momentum going with 2 more films! We've known for some time that an unnamed project was already being planned for a May 16th, 2014 release, but in a recent interview with Bloomberg, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige that a 2nd as yet unnamed film was also in development. Iron Man 3 begins production later this month, and we know that Thor 2 is set to shoot later this year followed by Captain America 2. Disney announced last week that development was already underway on The Avengers 2, so it's assumed the 2nd unannounced film won't be that one since it's already been announced and most likely will hit theaters in 2015. If the reaction from fans at 'The Avengers' premiere this week is any indication, Marvel has a surefire hit on its hands, but what does the studio have planned for the future? We've got some hints as to what's to come and confirmations on a few you probably shouldn't be holding your breath to see anytime soon. Marvel's Kevin Feige has been instrumental in engineering the studio's movie lineup that has helped to finally bring The Avengers to the big screen. It started back in 2008 with the successful release of Iron Man. While at the premiere for the film, Feige told reporters that The Avengers is the capper to "phase one" to Marvel's plan with work already begun on phase two. We know that Iron Man 3 and sequels to Thor and Captain America are all part of that plan that will most likely also include The Avengers 2. Feige stated that there is room for one or two NEW films to be included in that plan as well. But which films will those actually be? We do know that Marvel has already staked claim to May 16th, 2014 for an as yet named film. He told Crave Online that they do know which movie that will be, but are not yet ready to announce it just yet. That news will most likely come at this year's Comic-Con or possibly sooner. Marvel Studios Co-Pres Kevin Feige reveals a secret project is in the works, and Clevver Movies is here with the details. Feige announced in a recent interview that his Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, directed a piece that will be revealed in the next few months. Reports suggest that it will most likely be another Agent Coulson short but there is no word on whether they will take place post-Avengers. D'Esposito is no random choice to direct. He is Executive Producer for all of the Marvel films and shorts, and his previous assistant directing experience gives him the skills necessary for the project. Perhaps he's directing a trailer to introduce at Comic Con. Feige confirmed Marvel Studios will be there this summer but would not discuss what they'd be introducing.
