Mosu & Naxi Matriarchal tribes, Yunnan province, China

Yunnan province is the most biodiverse and beautiful province in China. It has half of all plant and animal species found in China and 52 of the remaining 56 ethnic minorities in the country. In this clip Manchán meet the O-Er-Do-Ju family in Lugu Lake, North West of Lijiang in Yunnan. He is accompanied by Miss Lu, a foreign affairs official. The father of the family sits at his mother's fireside and explains the Mosu system of family, in which the woman has complete control. He then brings up to meet his father who was a Buddhist monk until the monastary was shut down under Mao. He is now free to practise again. He gives Manchán a message to bring home to the West with him. The singers on the mountain are members of the Naxi minority and live near Lijiang. Manchán Magan, Global Nomad Films. www.manchan.com

Matriarchal Unity Patriarchal Divide (Poverty of Intelligence)

There are many things we are not taught as women. We need to question our feelings. Acceptance is the only answer for it is the truth. Patriarchal society creates divisions. Throughout history Matriarchal societies nurture the community as a whole, not punish because one is different. A willingness for truth is the only answer.

NO! Women Pastors (Matriarchal Authority)-Pastor Gary C. Price

Pastor Gary C. Price OnStickam "EVERY SUNDAY @1PM LIVE" www.stickam.com www.omegaministry.org Why do you teach that women cannot be pastors? We will answer this question in four parts: What does the word "pastor" mean What is the role of a pastor What are the qualifications of a pastor How does this office fit into God's government? Ephesians 4:11-12 states that a pastor is one of the five-fold ministry offices given to perfect the saints. The word translated "pastor" in this Scripture is the Greek word poimen, which means shepherd or supervisor. This word is one of only two ministry offices given by God that are grammatically masculine nouns with no feminine equivalent - the other word being Apostle. Each of the other offices are either neutral in gender and applicable to either sex (evangelist, teacher) or have specific masculine or feminine uses (prophet - male, prophetess - female). There is no such thing as a 'pastoress' or an 'apostless'. In other words - there are no female pastors or female apostles!. The logic behind this distinction is clear when you examine the functions of these offices. Apostles are messengers sent by Christ to make disciples of the nations and to lay the foundation for local church congregations. The pastoral role is patterned after Jesus' role as our Chief Shepherd (1st Peter 5:4) and just like a shepherd, they are to feed, direct, heal, and protect the sheep (Jeremiah 3:15, Jeremiah 23:1-2). The performance of this role in seen in two ways <b>...</b>

Women Rule Our Tribe: VC2

The Mosuo people are commonly described as a matriarchal society. They practise two religions - Daba, based on animistic principles and worship of a mother goddess and Tibetan Buddhism. Crucially women take a leading role in the family, property and family lineage passes through the female side and they practise a 'walking marriage' after puberty, whereby women can choose and change sexual partners as they wish and couples do not live together or get married, with men only coming to the village at night if invited.

Human Apes Funny Intelligent Bonobos Females Rule "As it should be" Understand Language Very Human

Video shows very rare vocalization of the Bonobo or Pygmy Chimpanzee. Few if any recordings of bonobo vocalizations exist. The bonobos are heard screaming and sound much like people. These bonobos answer people verbally. Bonobos also make a murmuring sound that is more difficult to record. They are highly intelligent and can read and write (using a computer). A bonobo, Kanzi, has a large vocabulary. Maybe they have a language that people don't understand. Sharing more than 98% of its DNA with humans, the bonobo is our closest living relative. Shows how bonobos understand language. For example when he askes them to show their toes, they do. Clap hands for attention. Answer people verbally. Matriarchal Society Female Rule The bonobos recognize individual people. They may eat meat in the wild. ***The Bonobo, also called the Pygmy or Gracile Chimpanzee (Pan paniscus) belongs to the species (with the common chimpanzee) that is most closely related to humans. It is a highly endangered species. Only around 140 bonobos are in captivity (2002), world wide, and only around 100 are exhibited. It is noted for its human-like appearance and for walking upright. Some researchers consider the bonobo to be the best living prototype of the common ancestor of humans. The Red Data Book, of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, lists the bonobo as endangered. They may soon be extinct in the wild.. (74.125.47.132

Kalunga Neg Mawon video by Dennis Flores

Grupo Kalunga Neg Mawon is a musical dance ensemble that consists of members who have spent most of their lives researching and studying African culture in the Americas. Our aim is to preserve aspects of African tradition and identity existing in Quisqueya--Ayiti, known today as the Dominican Republic and The Republic of Haiti. We use the name Kalunga to highlight the Congolese cultural aspects retained in Dominican/Haitian culture and throughout the African Diaspora of the western hemisphere, such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc. Kalunga is a Goddess of the Congolese people known also as the Muntu-Bantu or Bakongo. She is the universal cosmos, the great bang from which all life comes, including the depths of the seas and the oceans. Kalunga also represents a time when Congolese culture was dominated by a matriarchal system where women played a prominent role in society. Neg Mawon translates into Black Maroons--those who fought against slavery, many of whom were Congolese descendants like Sebastian Lemba. We use the term Neg Mawon to symbolize our resistance against slavery and colonialism in a struggle to maintain and develop our African identity against overwhelming odds. The Pyramid Code -EP1 - The Band Of Peace

The Pyramid Code is a documentary series of 5 parts that explores the pyramid fields and ancient temples in Egypt as well as ancient megalithic sites around the world looking for clues to matriarchal consciousness, ancient knowledge and sophisticated technology in a Golden Age. The series is based on the extensive research done in 23 trips to Egypt and 50 other countries around the world by Dr. Carmen Boulter in the Graduate Division of Educational Research at the University of Calgary. This series strains to answer some very pertinent questions: * Who were the ancients and what did they know? * Could the pyramids be much older than traditional Egyptology would have us believe? * Could it be that the ancients were more technologically advanced than we are today? * Why do we have so little understanding of the ancient Egyptians? * Are there still secrets hidden in plain sight? * Do new discoveries force the issue of establishing a new chronology? * Are there little known sites that provide clues to a new understanding of our distant past? * Are we really the most advanced civilization to ever live on Earth? Episodes Include: 1. The Band of Peace 2. High Level Technology 3. Sacred Cosmology 4. The Empowered Human 5. A New Chronology

The Women's Kingdom (2006)- a film by Xiaoli Zhou- Part 1 di 2

A film by Xiaoli Zhou, Produced by Xiaoli Zhou & Brent E. Huffman China/US, 2006, 20 minutes, Color, DVD, Mandarin, Subtitled Keepers of one of the last matriarchal societies in the world, Mosuo women in a remote area of southwest China live beyond the strictures of mainstream Chinese culture enjoying great freedoms and carrying heavy responsibilities. Beautifully shot and featuring intimate interviews, this short documentary offers a rare glimpse into a society virtually unheard of 10 years ago and now often misrepresented in the media. Mosuo women control their own finances and do not marry or live with partners; they practice what they call "walking marriage." A man may be invited into a womans hut to spend a "sweet night," but must leave by daybreak. While tourism has brought wealth and 21st century conveniences to this remote area, it has also introduced difficult challenges to the Mosuo culture from pollution in the lake, to the establishment of brothels, to mainstream ideas about women, beauty and family. This finely wrought film is a sensitive portrayal of extraordinary women struggling to hold on to their extraordinary society.
