Yellowstone is trending after a 57-year-old man was mauled to death by a grizzly bear in one of the park's backcountry areas. The victim was hiking on the Wapiti Lake Trail with his wife, who was also rushed by the bear but survived. Yellowstone officials believe the mother grizzly attacked because she felt her cubs were being threatened. Park rangers are currently looking for the bear. But since she acted naturally, officials say she will not be killed. The trail near the attack has been closed, and warning signs have been posted. BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afternoon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday. One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said. Zoo workers tossed rescue rings toward the woman to hoist her out and distract polar bears swimming nearby, said Goerg Gebhard, a Berlin police officer. At one point the woman fell back into the water and was grabbed by a bear before she was eventually hoisted to safety. "They saved her life," Gebhard told CNN. The woman was severely injured and was being treated at a hospital, police said. It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing. Berlin Zoo is home to Knut, the first polar bear to be born there in over 30 years. The South African, known as "Uncle Dalu" to many, had hand-reared many of the lions and tigers at Zion Wildlife Gardens from cubs. A humble man who downplayed his role in saving a fellow cat handler from an earlier tiger attack, 26-year-old Mr Mncube was himself yesterday fatally mauled by the park's largest tiger. Mr Mncube, the righthand-man to Zion's "Lion Man" Craig Busch, was killed by a male white tiger while cleaning an enclosure with another keeper at the sanctuary near Whangarei, made famous by a television show. Despite the best efforts of other staff members who rushed to his aid, the tiger would not let Mr Mncube go and he died at the scene from injuries to his head, torso and lower leg. As many as 11 people witnessed the attack, including eight tourists and two children who were last night receiving counselling along with distressed park workers. The hospital had called the animal control to pick up the kitten to have them put it down, so this emergncy hospital in Stockton Calfiornia didn't want to even use the little bit of drugs they had themselves to put the kitten out of misery .
