Made this cheap helmet camera for about $69 us,with free delivery to australia,from ebay.It also makes a great web camera.The tape i used to attach it ,is called 3M DUAL LOCK. The camera can be used for all types of sports.Dry sports that is,as it is not water proof. Cames with a 2 gig mini micro card.And can take up to 8 gig.The battery charge will last about 2 hours. Great in low light.And the little clamp with built in clip,will allow it to attach to belt ,shirt,hat ,and just about anything.Love to hear your coments.Steve

Firstly,i only had the camera strapped to the inside of my lid which wasn't very stable.(will mount it properly next time) Secondly,my lid is a bit too big for me now and tends to shake around on my head quite a bit so the video quality is not at it's best. The cam just arrived this morning so i was in a hurry to test it out :) I cut the original .avi file from 648x480 to 480x360 so it wouldn't take as long to upload it as i have a slow connection.

The video was taken with the AEE MD80 video camera mounted on the dash (clipped to the GPS mount). The video camera takes microSD memory cards. This video was taken using the card that came in the package. It is a somewhat slow card which resulted in around 20 FPS rather than the expected 30 FPS. I will test it using a Class 6 microSD later. Audio is very sensitive. Given the cameras extremely small size (2" tall and 50 grams) it did an adequate job. Definitely not a video camera to use if you need alot of detail. In my MD80 review I assumed that the jerky stop-start problem with my video was down to the camera itself. It turned out that the fault was actually with the 2gb Lexar Micro SD card that came with the camera. I therefore feel that I have done this camera a disservice in my earlier review and have uploaded this clip to show what it can actually do when it's working properly. I stand by my earlier comments that action cams really need image stabiliser to be useful and it does still suffer from all the problems of a small lens and a cheap CMOS chip - smearing in low light and CMOS wobble (visible when my car goes over a bumpy road). The replacement micro SD I used was just an old 2GB Sandisk card I found lying about - it wasn't a class 6. Apologies for the misleading info in the earlier review.

This uncommon evacuation exit -- still found today on MD-80, DC-9 and B-717 aircraft -- is unique in that it involves the jettisoning of a complete aircraft part, in this case, the tailcone. For most air carriers, this exit is considered to be a secondary exit, the preferred being the main cabin doors or overwing exits. The opening of the aft pressure bulkhead is designed to actuate the firing of pins holding the tailcone in position. (The door has been designed so that you cannot do this if the aircraft is in flight.) If this does not work, the flight attendant must enter the walkway and then pull the manual tailcone release handle on the aircraft's left side at the end of the walkway. The particular aircraft belonged to Jet America, based out of Long Beach, CA.

This is the third and final video in this series which explains how anyone with skill using basic tools can inexpensively modify one of these commonly available micro-cameras so that the date/time overlay is no longer displayed. The lack of a setting to shut off the date/time overlay in these micro-cameras has been a common complaint among users, so we have combined the groundwork done by several members of the Water Rocket Forum (waterrocketforum.com) with our own hardware and software talents and produced a video which we hope will be useful to the numerous people who own one of these cameras. This segment explains how to download our freeware program for the Texas Instruments MSP430 Launchpad Evaluation Board that turns it into a Serial Flash Memory Programmer and use that to modify the firmware chip extracted from one of these cameras in Part 1 of the tutorial. We then show how to reinstall the modified chip in the camera and test it. As a bonus, we included a rocket launch onboard video taken with a camera modified using this method from an altitude of nearly 2000 feet. (Special thanks to Chuck, Philippe, and Bill for their efforts in hacking these cameras)

This is just a quick test of my new camera that i bought off Ebay for £60 after seeing Svengalie's Video. I mounted the camera on the mouthpeice of my enduro helmet using velcro patches and wrapping the lanyard around the padding of the helmet just in case. The audio isnt great because i had my visor open, i will make another video with the visor down so you can hear the difference. The U tube video does not do the camera justice, TRUST ME!!!!!!
