MDK was really groundbreaking in it's time back then in 1997. This game is the very first game I played that you can shoot someone in the head, which is a headshot. The graphics (for it's time) were unbelievable, you really felt like part of a living world. The atmosphere while post-apocalyptic has a heavy comedic feeling. Also the soundtrack is definitely a plus, it's helping making the game a powerful & epic experience.

This is just some gameplay from MDK 2 on the Sega Dreamcast. Despite owning the original on the PS1 for years, I never got around to buying MDK2 until recently on the DC. I had a demo of it on the disk that came with my DC, but had never played the full game until a few weeks ago. The DC version looks better, and is more difficult than the PS2 version from what I hear. I can already tell that this game can be frustrating at times, and I'm only on the second level on my save of it. I think that I like the original better so far, but I haven't gotten that far into this one. This one has some pointless story elements that don't really do much for me, and while having three characters give the game some variety, I like the straight up simplistic gameplay of the original, and the distinct Shiny art style better. I'm sure this one will grow on me too as it's still a good and challenging game, and is worth a look from any DC owners still out there in the world.

Classic Game Room season 1 - 5/20/2000 MDK2 for the Sega Dreamcast. What does MDK stand for? Well, watch the episode and find out. This first person shooter kind of game for the Dreamcast had a unique comic book style like the Watchmen mixed with anime references and science fiction. It was a lot of fun to play and looking back on it was an awesome game. For whatever reason this has not come out on the PS3, Wii or Xbox 360. Classic Game Room was the 1st Classic Video Game review on the Internet for fans, collectors and game nuts.
