At the time it also really showed the power of SNES handling multiple sprites on screen at once, giving it the definitive edge against the Megadrive. Super Aleste ( Space Megaforce ) - Boss Run - Part 1
Great game. I recommend anyone who can pick this up, to do so. This is possibly one of the most accessable shooters ever made. As usual, boss rematches, barring boss 10, which is different enough a rematch to warrent a record, aren't recorded. Boss 5 and Boss 8 are refought during the final level for those interested. I'm not sure whether this or Ikaruga is my favourite shoot 'em up. It's very close. This is one hell of a good game. Couple of notes for those that pay attention to the video: a) The game is played on "Hyper" difficulty. In effect, all the enemies and bosses are sped up. This, makes, the game alot harder, obviously. b) Whilst collecting powerups, you are invunerable for a second or two. This saves my neck a couple of times. c) Don't complain about me using cheap weapons, they're in the game for a reason, to be used. The awesome weapons help make this game super awesome. :P d) For those interested: I got hit ALOT during the actual gameplay of this. This is one of the few shooters to give you health, and the health is linked to your weapon level. Thank god weapon upgrades drop frequently. As I said, great well made game and no-where near as cheap as it may seem at times. Yes, some of the weapon pick-ups were accidents. They didn't register on the "don't hit these" radar at the time of recording. Oh well. You get to see every weapon. :P Special thanks to the Wikipedia goons for the boss names.

Kyosho QRC Mini Mega Force Version 1, Wild Dodge Ram
I got this one late last year, was supposed to have a locked motor, and only ran 3 times. It sure looked as though it was run 3 times, and the motor was not locked, the glow plug was dead. Came with everything, including the box, instructions, and stickers. I believe it was made somewhere between 1995-1998. I replaced the weak .12 sleeve bearing motor with a Kyosho .15, like my stock Mega Force uses, since I got a spare one laying around. Now starts up on the 1st or second pull, and runs great. Its not a speed demon, but then it was never made to do that. Its a forward reversing tranny only, with no option for brake, and single speed to boot. They do still make a 2 speed for it, which I will be getting for it and my same one, but its the Baja Buggy one. Its a blast to drive, and pretty much runs over anything, but bricks, it got hung up on one for half a minute, you will see ;) This was a version 1, the version 2's came with the same .15 motor I put in, but it was like the Mega force and had its own electric starter, and glow plug warmer. Keep your eye out for my Super Kyosho Mad Force Build. All aluminum extended frame, and more aluminum parts you can shake a stick at. Finishing up on that project and HPI MT 1 1/2.

Megaforce (1982) Movie Review
Megaforce is an action film made in 1982 directed by former stuntman Hal Needham. The film starred Barry Bostwick, Persis Khambatta, Michael Beck, Edward Mulhare, Evan C. Kim, Ralph Wilcox, and Henry Silva. The film featured a "phantom Army of super elite fighting men whose weapons are the most powerful science can devise", including realistic 3-D holograms and combat vehicles such as a motorcycle called the "Delta MK 4 Megafighter" equipped with missile launchers. The movie included extremely unrealistic scenarios such as motorcycles (and dune buggies) launching missiles which proved lethal for main battle tanks. The dune buggies, "megadestroyers" or "megacruisers", also had lasers that could destroy a tank in a single shot. In the film finale, the main character's motorcycle activates small (~2 ft or 0.6 m) fold-out wings and flies. It was also made into a computer game most notably for the Atari 2600. It was planned on being re-released on the Xbox 360 via its Xbox Live Arcade download services sometime in 2009. A sequel titled Deeds not Words was considered, but it was scrapped due to poor performance of the original film. Delta Force, the 1986 Chuck Norris blockbuster, had a plot very similar to Mega Force, and in the movie, Chuck rides a motorbike which fires missiles.
