I just started playing Minecraft just the other week. I really like this game. I really can't compare it to anything else I have played. I even looked into blockworld and a few other similar type games however Minecraft is the "just right" mix of complexity, fun, and imagination. Its fun for all ages. Even girls can play!!! My daughter and I have our first multi-player game (sorry bomberman 2) . Truly something the whole family can get into. This video is of me showing off my little world after about 5 days of playing on and off. The game will soon be in its Beta stages and its price is rumored to go up once its released, so do yourself a favor and pick it up now whiles its still cheap, gift your friends a copy! For all of you asking for the password, YOU DO NOT USE A PASSWORD TO PLAY, You simply just play offline with no password needed. Download minecraft - www.thepirategames.org People having the problem with the "Play offline" not being pressable. Do not extract the file directly in to the .minecraft folder. Extract the one you downloaded to your desktop then drag it in to the main directory. If you were wondering what i said to type in run, it was "%appdata%" without the quotations. Text Tutorial 1. Download the Minecraft file, and extract it to your desktop. 2. Youll see a file named "Run" inside of the file you just downloaded. You need to edit it so that your directory file is inside of it. To do this you will need to Right click - Edit and paste it in between the quotations as seen in the video. 3. Run "%appdata%" what you need to do is paste the ".minecraft" folder from the downloaded file i gave you, anywhere in there. Make sure it is only the .minecraft folder and not the entire Minecraft 1.1.0 folder. 4. If you did everything correct, open the minecraft.jar file in the folder, login, and press play offline. FAQ: Q. Why is my screen black? A. You either have to update your Java or your video card. Q. Where do i find "run"? A. If not you can't find "Run" in in your files, click "Search all places" (Or something like that). Or search "Run" in your language. Q. How do I update my video card. A. We just mined and screwed around to be honest. Thanks to /r/minecraft community for all the help and inspiration. This is on our private Minecraft SMP server. Took about a week to mine and build, and we have more that we would like to add. We mined it all from scratch, so it took longer but was more fun. We ended up terraforming a mountain next to our main base to clear the space, and it takes over 9000 blocks to construct. Well, probably over 9000. I really wish I could share saves from the minecraft alpha, single player Infdev. Since I can't, I thought I'd share my level with everyone. I've grown a huge forest in-between bouts of making a huge borehole around a cavern entrance I found on the beach. Needless to say I've removed all the sand (and converted it to glass which you can see I used to mine even further underwater) and started exploring the cavern. Much to my surprise, I found the cavern is unbelievably huge! This is the first of two videos showing the impressive cave structure below the sea. I wanted a secure place in my base to keep all my valuable items in and have something private. I also wanted to experiment a bit more with the reddust so I'd figured the place needed a well thought trough lockdesign. This is what I came up with and it turned out pretty neat. To get to the valuables, I need to turn the two switches in the front room to open the hidden door behind the painting. Then go down, turn on the switch, step on the plate and turn the switch off again to open the door. Standing on the switch again will close the door and reset the system. Have a look and comment if you want me to explain the design with speech.
