So, while I've been studying I've come up with a couple more ideas for crafting recipes in Minecraft. I decided that since I don't have the time to do a proper "record, commentate and upload" video but I had a heap more subscribers and it had been ages since my last upload, I'd be able to do one of these pretty quickly to tide you guys over. The ideas... Anchor: The anchor is used to hold you boat in place while you either get out or are not using it. This is so that if you accidentally bump your boat when getting out or an animal bumps it, it's not going to speed out to sea or break. Camouflage: Basically sapling armor. Gives little to no protection and will break after taking a couple of hits. However, when wearing a full set and sneaking, the player is virtually invisible to mobs. Collar: The collar is used in the same way as the saddle (placed on an animal). When the player places a collar on an animal, that animal will no longer despawn but will be saved in the chunk. This means that you could have a pet purple sheep if you wanted to. Also, sheep and cows could be collared and kept in a pen, where the cows could be milked and the sheep sheered. If this item were to be implemented, Notch should make wool grow back on sheep (at least those that are collared). With the Minecraft Beta 1.6 update out, mushrooms are now able to spread, which means they can be farmed. The only issue with farming mushrooms in Minecraft is that they require dark environments otherwise they pop out of the ground. Why is this an issue? Well, because large dark environments are the kind of places that skeletons, zombies, spiders and creepers like to call home. This means that if you are playing on any difficulty other than peaceful (and, let's face it, why would you need mushrooms on peaceful?) your farm will likely produce mobs, as well as mushrooms. So, I quickly came up with this design for a mushroom farm in Minecraft. The farm is designed so that mushrooms are planted in a 1 block tall space underneath the floor. The floor is made out of half slabs meaning that mobs are unable to spawn on it. The mushrooms are harvested by placing water in a hole which causes the mushrooms to break out of the ground and be funneled to a collection point. The farm I make is also separated out so that there is a section for red spotted mushrooms and brown mushrooms. Each of these two sections (the red and brown mushroom sections) are divided into two smaller sections each so that you have control over how many of each type of mushroom you want to collect (you can harvest some while leaving the rest growing) As I mention a couple of times, this farm is by no means flawless, I just wanted to get the idea out there. I will probably be trying to perfect it in an upcoming <b>...</b>

As you all know by now, update 1.7 brought with it sticky pistons which, in my mind, will be one of the most useful items in the game. However, a lot of people are quite annoyed about the fact that the crafting recipe requires slime balls to make the pistons "sticky" as many have not ever even seen a slime. With this in mind I thought I'd do a "quick" tutorial on how to make a slime farm so that obtaining slime balls will be much easier. Much of the research was already done by Roboticaust and so most of the credit must go to him. You can check out his channel at: www.youtube.com This video is divided up into several smaller parts to make the tutorial more accessible and easy to digest. Since we're now officially Beta, I figured it was time to start anew. Day 1 sees us take a first look around our new world, collect some essentials and set up a shelter to prepare for nightfall. This series utilises a few mods. Firstly, a wonderful little tileset, which comprises only a few minor tweaks, courtesy of 'The Original Krush'.
