The world's largest Mig 25 RC Scale model airplane - the test flight
This is the maiden flight of what is probably the largest jet-powered scale model of a Mig 25. At 4.2 meters long and weighing in at 42Kg, this is a huge model, skillfully test-flown by 18-year-old Clinton on the first day of the 2011 ANZAC jet rally in Tokoroa New Zealand. Unfortunately, the second flight did not go as well -- video of that is coming. Check my channel for more great RC model and jet videos.

F2A World Record - Control-line model aircraft speed.
As promised some time ago - a re-edit in higher quality from my original tape. On Saturday 13 October 2001 at Fairmile Common near Cobham in Surrey, UK, Paul Eisner made an attempt on his existing World Record for Control Line Speed (1.0 to 2.5cc) which he had held at just over 194 mph since 1987. In unseasonably warm conditions (24C) the best run of the afternoon registered a provisional speed of 208.28 mph. This beats his existing record by the considerable margin of around 14 mph. The model is powered by an Irvine 15 "special" and uses a single-blade carbon fibre prop - as is usual with models of this type. More details and photos on my website at www.flyrc.org.uk

Kaien(海燕)-3, our third radio controlled model is flying. (full length of the movie is www.youtube.com ) It is 7.2m in length. Propellers are driven by two Wankel type rotary engines. The model is almost equivalent to a two-seat experimental ship in size. The model demonstrates a super high speed ship concept. Although its basic technology is the same as that of WIGs and ekranoplans, the canard configuration leads to better performance and efficiency.

This is the maiden flight of Tony Withey's turbine powered Aermacchi jet. New Zealand used to use the real Aermacchis for fighter-pilot training before the last peacenik goverment decided to mothball them all. Jet powered RC model plane: F15 maiden flight
"Amazing scale detail" is the term that best describes this turbine-powered RC model airplane flown for the first time by pilot Paul Buckrell on the even of the 2011 ANZAC international jet meeting in Tokoroa New Zealand. This model is so good it made-simple, the task of trying to get shots which make it look full-sized. It's a newer version of the Avonds F15 Eagle which broke apart in mid-air, as seen in one of my earlier videos. Das Flugzeug wird be- und entladen mit funkferngesteuerten LKWs. Die Komplettanlage wird hin und wieder auf grösseren Modellbauausstellungen gezeigt und vorgeführt. Das Modellflugsystem besteht aus einem an der Raumdecke montierten Schienensystem in dem ein Steuerwagen fährt. Das Modellflugzeug hängt stabil an acht dünnen Fäden an diesem Wagen. Der Steuerwagen besitzt unabhängig voneinander wirkende Seilwinden, durch die das Flugzeug naturgetreu starten, fliegen und landen kann. Die Schräglage wird Zwangsgesteuert. Ali Machinchy's - Hawker Hunter Crash - The Last Flight
This short video was recorded in the UK. The model as flown by Ali Machinchy was an Airworld Hawker Hunter - The estimated cost to build this model was over £10000. Unfortunately, this model was totally destroyed on Saturday 9th May 2009, when it took it's last flight, all control of the model was lost, resulting in this amazing crash and fireball.

FPV RC Plane crashes 2Kms from launch
Something went wrong with this RC model plane and it crashed while on its way back to the launch-point. This video shows the launch, pilot and the aftermath. Fortunately the model was recovered and it appears as if all the really expensive bits (cameras and RC gear) escaped unscathed. Not bad for a fall from half a kilometer up in the air. The cause of the crash has not yet been established. It could have been anything from an in-air structural failure to a faulty ESC or RTL system -- although everything worked perfectly on the first flight of the day.

A-10 Warthog catches fire on takeoff (huge RC model plane)
This huge A-10 Warthog RC model plane suffered not one but two engine fires shortly after takeoff. Skillful piloting prevented a crash and a lot of fire extinguishers enabled the model to be saved but it was pretty spectacular. There are other videos of this model flying (without the fire) on my channel. Filmed at the 2011 ANZAC international jet meeting in Tokoroa New Zealand. A-10 Warthog at ANZAC 2010 jet meeting
One of the largest jet-powered RC planes you're likely to see is this very nice A10 Warthog powered by two turbine engines. It was put through its paces at the 2010 ANZAC model jet meeting at Tokoroa New Zealand in February. This meeting is an annual event and shouldn't be missed if you're interested in RC model aircraft.

Pulsejet powered World Models TameCat RC plane, maiden flight
After a few delays and some last-minute changes to the fuel system so that the engine could draw fuel up the 8-inches between the tank-bottom and the spraybar, the first flight of the pulsejet-powered World Models TameCat has happened. It's sure not lacking in power (10lbs thrust versus 7lbs flying weight) and it was damned fast! Despite being a mild-mannered pussy-cat when powered by a regular glow-engine it's very apparent that under full jet-thrust I'm going to have to cut back the elevator throw a little. The TameCat is such a big pussy to fly once the power's off though - landing is a breeze! The engine switched to lean-mode short-cycling when I pulled high-G's in the second turn so I'll have ti increase the fuel pressure some more and reduce the size of the fuel-metering jet so as to reduce the effect of hi-G's on fuel-flow. With luck, I'll get the changes done and fly it again tomorrow! Don't miss that video -- subscribe now. RC F-15 - 6' Scratch Built Strike Eagle
A good performance demonstration of a 6 foot Shumate F-15. This jet at 160% size maintains excellent stability and superb flight handling just like the original smaller design. The mid-level power system I used puts its top speed at around 75mph. The pivoting horizontal stabilizers provide 'corner on a dime' maneuverability making this well designed jet a good flyer to not only have fun with but to sharpen your flying skills with as well.
