Monday Night Football First-ever game 1970 - Jets at Browns - Part 1 of 19

This is an incredible find for everyone who loves football. I just want to give major props to whoever it was that uploaded this to the web in the first place. If I ever find out, they will get the proper credit they so truly deserve. This is part 1 of 19 of the very first Monday Night Football game that took place on ABC on September 21, 1970 between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns at the now-demolished Municipal Stadium in Cleveland. By this time, the merger between the NFL and the AFL had taken effect, creating a 26-team league split into two conferences, the NFC and the AFC. Baltimore, Cleveland and Pittsburgh agreed to join the 10 AFL teams in forming the new AFC conference. The broadcast team for this game was Keith Jackson, Howard Cosell and Don Meredith. This is for entertainment purposes only and no infringement of any kind is intended.

ABC Monday Night Football intro (October 18, 1976): Patriots/Jets

Here is the intro for ABC's Monday Night Football from October 1976. The game features the surprising New England Patriots and Lou Holtz's New York Jets. In fact, if anybody has watched the NFL Network's top 10 coaches who should have stayed in college countdown, this is the origin of the clip where Alex Karras sings Holtz's "fight song" for the team. Enjoy! Announcers: Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford, and Alex Karras (duh!)
