Well here is the 2nd take of my updated of my Bushmaster M4A3 Patrolman. I realized I didnt really show the end cap or EOTech without the front A2 sight. I finally received all my parts from Yankee Hill Machine company and had them installed on my rifle. All together I have the YHM diamond series free float quadrail (specter length), YHM low profile gas block, extra Magpul XTM rail covers, and a Magpul MBUS back up front sight. Well after a lot of hesitation here it is, the Magpul RSA. I wasn't sure I wanted to purchase this after the delayed release of the RSA. However, I do love everything Magpul so I couldn't say no for too long. It's a great little piece but it does have some drawbacks.

Well it's been long enough, roughly a year, but it's now time to put my Remington 597 back together. In my last video I unboxed my stock that I got back from MTAK which does custom Duracoating. Alright guys I think I covered everything in the video but just in case I'm going to explain here as well. My plan with my Remington 597 is to turn it into a "tactical" rifle. I'm going to start by buying clear 30 round magazine and modifying those. I'm then going to buy Picatinny rails and install those to the lower portion of the stock and the sides. The last step will be to paint the stock into some sort of camo. This is where I need your help. I can't decide between 3 different camouflages... Well here is another unboxing. I'm doing so many of these now I'm running out of clever names so I'm just going to start numbering them. Today I got my stuff from CheaperThanDirt.com that was packed in a peculiar box. Inside the box are the Condor Hydration Pouch, M4/M16 Pouches, and a Pistol Pouch. All are in the Multi-Cam pattern and will be used on my tactical vest. After looking at Condor's Hydration Pouch I was immediately impressed. I just think it's ingenious to have detachable shoulder straps so this could be used on its own or attached to Molle webbing. The pouch also has Velcro on the lid which allows you to attach any patch you would like. Overall the Condor Hydration Pouch is an excellent piece.

Alright guys here are a couple grips that are made for the XD Series pistols. One is made by Pachmayr and the other by Hogue. The Pachmayr works fine, installs easy, and feels comfortable. Here is a short video comparing the Flat Dark Earth offered by Springfield and the Flat Dark Earth offered by Magpul. There are very clost but the Springfield XD is a little darker than the Magpul. Overall they look great side by side.

Here are some new 30 round magazines I bought. I've heard rumors that they are trying to ban 30 round magazines again so I figured I would stock up on as many as possible. I ordered some Magpul PMAG's, which are my favorite magazines for the AR platform. I also thought I would try some new magazines just for back up. The other brand of magazines you see are from C Products. They are steel 30 round magazines in FDE. Well I've had a couple people ask me how I was going to install my red dot on my Remington 597. I took a trip down to my local gun store and found this weaver rail for 7 dollars. I've always been told that weaver rails will work with Picatinny accessories so I figured I would give it a shot. Turns out it works great. This is a really cheap way of attaching a red dot to your .22 caliber rifle. It beats paying 30 dollars for an actual Picatinny rail section. Thanks for watching guys.

After I installed my Yankee Hill Machine free float quad rail I lost my A2 front sight which also was my Sling Attachment point. I looked around for a while and decided to go with the Daniel Defense QD Sling Swivel. It's just a very nice piece, heavy duty and well made.

Well here is my new purchase the Metro Arms American Classic Commander 1911. This is a great gun for the low price tag. You can't complain about a cheap 1911 with extended slid stop, extended magazine release, extended safety, skeletonized hammer, and beaver tail grip safety. Again I haven't shot this yet because I just purchased it but it sounds like it's extremely accurate out of the box. It has a great set of sights with a rear Novak style sight and a dovetail front sight. Both can be changed out if you want to run actual Novak sights, so fiber optics are a go. Well I've had a lot of requests to show off my Arsenal SGL21 once it was all finished. Well I just got all the parts from Kavar installed and the furniture mounted. I ordered the wood stock set from www.ironwooddesignes.com and stained it with Old Masters Crimson Fire. The camera doesn't do this stock set justice. I will say it's much much darker and it has more of a red tent to it. I think the massive lights above it are making it appear a weird color. I have to say I'm very happy with how this turned out. I cover everything in the video but I'll say again that this is easily the best ambidextrous safety switch on the market, nothing even comes close. Something that allows each individual user to customize it to their specific needs is a win in anyone's book. This is a short review of my KaBar Dozier pocket knife that is my EDC (every day carry) knife. It's a lightweight knife weighing in at 2.25oz, which is very low for a 3 inch blade. It has a Zytel handle that has diamond checkering on it for added grip. You can reverse the pocket clip and thumb stud if you're left handed. Well guys the video pretty much says it all. Besides having my Iron Wood Designs handgaurd break in half I had some fitting issues. I'm in the process right now of re-staining the stock Draco furniture to match the IWD pistol grip. Like I mentioned in the video if you guys have any recommendations for a cheap addition to my collection please let me know in the comments. I'm thinking about purchasing a Mosin Nagant (because it's so cheap) and go the tactical route with it. The pistol I mentioned was a Metro Arms American Classic 1911 Commander size. From all the research I've done it sounds like a great HIGH VALUE 1911. For the price it can't be beat, but that's just what I've been told.

I had a few subscribers ask me how C Products magazine in Flat Dark Earth matches up against my AR with Magpul Flat Dark Earth accessories. I decided to do a little video comparing the two colors. I'm not going to go into too much detail here because I cover everything in the video. I will say again the color difference isn't as noticeable as it appears on camera. When I'm outside with my rifle the C Products still looks great and matches fairly well. Well it took a little while for me to get this stuff and even longer to upload it but here it is. Iron Wood Designs makes some great stuff. Like I said in the video their ordering process is pretty weird and slightly confusing. If you guys have any questions about their stuff feel free to call them. You will most likely have to leave a voicemail. Don't worry they return your phone calls very quickly, actually the night of on all 3 of my calls. Their products are great, not only do they have several wood types to choose from. On top of that they have different buttstocks, pistol grips, and forward handguards to choose from. I'm super impressed with their stuff and it looks great. I did some test fitting and had to do very little sanding in order to get stuff to fit properly. Alright guys, here is a quick side by side video so you can see the difference in colors and accessories. I'm pretty sure I list all of the differences but just in case I'm going to go ahead and list them here. We have different size backstraps on the MIAD grip kit, the FDE has the Medium and the ODG has the Large. The FDE has the enhanced trigger guard whereas the OD Green doesn't. The Flat Dark Earth has the Magpul BAD Lever and the OD Green doesn't. The Flat Dark Earth has the EOTech 551 N Type battery whereas the OD Green has the EOTech 512 AA battery. The Flat Dark Earth has Traction tape cut for the PMAG whereas the OD Green doesn't. The Flat Dark Earth has a Yankee Hill Machine free float quad rail in the Specter length where as the OD Green has a Mil-Spec, none free float quad rail. The Flat Dark Earth has Tapco's the low profile vertical grip and the OD Green has Tapco's full size grip. The Flat Dark Earth has a Daniel Defense QD Swing Swivel mount whereas the OD Green uses the sling mount located on the stock front A2 sight. Onto sights, the Flat Dark Earth has Magpul's MBUS back up front sight whereas the OD Green has the stock front sight. Also the Flat Dark Earth has the Latter Rail cover on top whereas the OD Green has nothing but Magpul's XTM Rail covers. So this video is just to show you different options side by side so you can decide what you like better if you're thinking about buying any of these accessories.

The vest is incredibly comfortable and its construction is excellent as well. The multi-cam pattern looks so much better than I thought it would.
