The next day, I wanted to do a length check so I flat ironed it. My hair type is 70% 4a/b and 30% 3c in my crown area. I wanted my curls very soft so I didn't use setting lotion when my hair was set. I used only water and the Hydratherma Naturals Herbal Gloss Heat Protector. The key is to keep the hair soaking wet while setting it and definitely use mesh end papers. This will give you a smoother set. To maintain your hair you can pin curl or wrap your hair at night.
