This morning, Google introduced Gmail Motion, allowing users to control Gmail using gestures and body movement. However, for whatever reason, their application doesn't appear to work. So, we demonstrate our solution - the Software Library Optimizing Obligatory Waving (SLOOW) - and show how it can be used with a Microsoft Kinect sensor to control Gmail using the gestures described by Google. This project uses OpenNI coupled with FAAST and was made by Evan Suma and the folks at Mark Bolas' MxR Lab at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies. By sensing your guitar's dry signal, The Noise Clamp reduces the noise level within the effect loop, coming down hard on even the noisiest signals. A single Trigger knob allows you to set the volume threshold at which the pedal is active, and a green LED shows whether the gate is on/off. Center of cone has full spectrum of audio, but looses bottom end. Off Axis has bottom end, but looses clarify, etc. Sooo... I wanted to shoot-out the 3 pedals AGAIN, but this time, with a CD quality MIC, AWAY from the cabinet, so you can hear, what my ears were hearing when I was playing the RIFFS. Afterall, when was the last time you jammed your ear into a cabinet, to hear it? IMO - you loose the effect of a thumping cabinet! So, if my theory is correct - this should sound a little better than a Mic'd demo of the pedals. BUT, you be the judge. Leave your comments. PLUS - SINCE SO MANY OF YOU HATE THAT I PLAY THE SAME RIFFS ... I put together a new RIFF for you. Hopefully you'll like it :-). I thought it was METAL enough, for these pedals. Maybe, I'll put it together, as a 2nd TTK branded song, w/ my Digitech GNX3. Can you help me name it? LASTLY - A note about the pedals. I tuned these pedals to my liking, so to my ears, the sound was just right. Of course, there is no right / wrong in tweaking them to your own liking. In my opinion (which everyone asks anyway) ... The Boss Metal Core has the most mids ... so it'll naturally cut through the mix better than (I think) the other 2 pedals. This may be ideal if you're in a band, and want your riffs to come though. Even though the other 2 pedals can probably get close to this <b>...</b>

Sorry for the glare in the video. I also noticed that the audio sounds a little muddy. This is definitely due to the camera/room setup, not the pedal. It is very clear and bright. As far as I know, this is simply a clone of the MXR GT-OD. I went to grab the link to guitarcenter.com for this product and received an error: "We're sorry, but MXR CL1 Classic Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal is sold out at this time, or is no longer available. For more information please contact customer service." As I suspected, this pedal was a limited-run promotional pedal just like the M-86 was. Next followed by Overdrive in signal path. Next preceded by overdrive in signal path - helps to sustain notes without the gate kicking in prematurely. Finally some delay noodling. Set up as follows: guitar - fender 97 american strat with stock pups. Using neck pickup only. amp - marshall dsl 401 clean channel. mic - shure sm57 on axis. I have seen a lot of people saying that this effect lacks volume. I have found this to be the case with humbucker pickups only, with single coils it is excellent.
