Before the floods, his sister Mahadevi was living in the house. She abandoned the house as the flood waters swelled. She is now living in her relatives' house, the family sources said. When contacted, Jaamdar, who is Karnataka Power Corporation Limited Managing Director, said he has not been able to visit his village yet. "I have a greater responsibility to provide relief to lakhs of affected people. I am planning to go there after the situation comes under control," he stated.
