Manny Steward the ''legendary'' trainer was not satisfied with Hamed's performance at the end of the training-camp but had successfully changed Hamed's style which led The Prince straight to his only defeat of his professional career. Hamed showed his worst performance ever during this bout,barrera boxed controlled and won the bout by 3 points with the score of 115-112 by an unanimous decision. The myth that Hamed is unbeatable was destroyed,which broke something in the soul of this untouchable boxer. Many think barerra should have been disqualified beacause of his acts in the last round when he forced Hamed into the corner. barerra really showed what kind of ''champion'' he was. Hamed returned in 2002 for one last bout before giving up his career ,though officially he never announced his retirement. The world of boxing had to say farewell to this fantastic 3 time worldchampion fighter whose unique,spectacular and aggressive style always guaranteed entertainment and excitement for the audience. Connecticut, United States KO 4 Hamed following opponent a hard puncher Augie Sanchez. Sanchez proves his power when he sends Hamed down to the canvas in the 2nd round and one min. later he almost knocks down Naseem again by a big left hook.Naseem recovers immediately and he answers right away by a strong left. After 10sec. of beginning Round three Sanchez successfully lands 2 big punches and the Prince almost goes down again. Ignored the fact the Prince completely loses his illusive style he carries on the bout which turns into a punch-war and Hamed proves how well he deals with the pressure. At the end of the 3rd round Hamed's quicker and stronger jabs break Sanchez. Round four Hamed executes Sanchez by an impressive punch-combination (4 pure punches land on Augie one after the other) which was the most brutal KO that he ever did. The Prince made the 15th defence of his WBO belt. Augie Sanchez left the ring in a stretcher. After this fight rather than face the hungarian EBU Champion & WBO mandatory challenger István Kovacs, Hamed relinquished his WBO title to pave the way for a Superfight with long-time rival, Marco Antonio Barrera.. (as for István Kovacs) : he wasn't even close to Hamed's level ( I know him cuz I saw his all bouts ,after Istvan Kovacs won <b>...</b>

''TF 37, W 36, KO 31, L 1 , D 0'' (born 12 February 1974) Naz is a British-Yemeni boxer and former World Featherweight and European Bantamweight Champion.Hamed was known for his boxing antics and spectacular ring entrances that have included being deposited in the middle of the ring by an elevator, which was set up specially for the event near the roof of the Manchester Evening News Arena, entering the ring in a low-rider Chevrolet Impala, entering on a flying carpet, re-enacting the video of Michael Jackson's Thriller, being carried into the ring on a palanquin, walking into the ring on a fashion runway style walk way and walking into the ring with a Halloween mask for his fight with Wayne McCullough (fought on Halloween night of 1998). He was also known for his front somersault over the top rope into the ring, which he did for all his professional fights. Hamed is also known for his unorthodox behaviour outside the ring. He had an altercation at Heathrow Airport with former boxing world champion Chris Eubank, showing off his belts and reminding Eubank that he was no longer a champion. He was managed by Barry Hearn then Frank Warren and finally by his eldest brother Riath Hamed. Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States UD 12 Naseem's next opponent is the former WBC World Bantamweight Champion Wayne McCullough.Apart from Hamed said he ends the bout inside the 3rd round he couldn't even floor McCullough,moreover the first 3 rounds were quite equal (30-27). The following 3 rounds go on in the same style (29-29) which actually doesn't really cover the truth as Naseem's certain percent of energie goes to the show as ever. The following 3 rounds are still worse as for Hamed (27-29) he takes more punches seems he doesn't really take the contest seriously.. In the last 3 rounds Hamed lays off the show,he wins all the rest and retains his WBO World Featherweight Championship by an unanimous decision : (116 - 112) (117 - 111) (118 - 110). at the end of round 11 you can see Hamed is so stubborn he ignores even Brendan Ingle's instructions.. and ever so it sounds rough I have to say the time has come when Naseem's prime got finished cuz this NAZ wasn't that whom we knew before.He got much slower,made lots of mistakes,he lost his illusive style as well he became getting more friendly to his opponents.The Prime-Naz definitely would have knocked out McCullough..
