Natural African American Hair Care - Consider Climate and Hair Product Ingredients

Temperature and releative humidity should be considered when choosing hair products. Hair product ingredients react differently depending upon climate. Consider choosing hair care products what will provide benefits based on climate and ingredients used in hair products. In hot arid climates choose products with water and emollients, in humid, milder climates consider choosing products with humectants :). During the winter months, consider avoiding products in which the key ingredients are humectants.

In the mist of detangling my hair during a condition wash, I noticed a lot of breakage/shedding. I immediately gave my hair a quick protein treatment with Aphogee Two minute protein treatment followed by the Moisture Balancing Conditioner which immediately stopped the breakage and shedding.

African American Hair Care - Reloaded Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic Curl Stimulator

Experimenting with a combination of hair products can be a challenge. The challenge is finding products that are not from the same line that will work well together. Often we purchase products from the same line and more times than not, some of the products don't work well for us. Currently, I have been experimenting with Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic Curl Stimulator with my staple leave--in conditioner; Komaza Care Coconut Curl Hair Lotion. I find the Coconut Curl Hair Lotion works works well as a leave-in conditioner underneath the Curly Magic however, The leavein conditioner does not work well to refresh my curls (day 2 and beyond).

HENNA TREATMENT ON NATURAL BLACK HAIR

This is my henna application process. What you will need: 100 g body art henna 2 cups water plastic mixing bowl and spoon plastic gloves After rinsing the henna out, washing and conditioning I followed up with organics hair mayonnaise moisture treatment. I decided to use henna for it's strengthening properties after putting my hair through quite a bit of work lately. I had a generally good experience, no mess. It did leave a slightly red tint however that is not really visible unless in sunlight.

Transition to Natural Hair: Who says you can't do a curly FRO!

Follow Me on Twitter: www.twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Subscribe to my Blog: www.naumi.blogspot.com Just because you're not 100% natural yet doesn't mean you can't utilize some of the same techniques and skills to accomplish certain styles. In this video I share with you how I mimic the "curly afro" using my texturized hair during the transition phase at 6 months. Braiding straight, texturized, or relaxed hair helps to create texture and blend your natural hair with your relaxed hair. I use the braid-out-curl method to accomplish this style.
