NECROS. Ohio thrash-punksters the Necros debuted in the early '80s with a nine-track EP, released through two preeminent indie labels, Dischord and Touch & Go. Signed to Touch & Go two years later, the group's first album, Conquest for Death, proved to be their last for quite a while. Except for a 1986 split 7" with White Flag, the Necros didn't return until 1987, when Tangled Up debuted a vastly different lineup (including future Big Chief vocalist Barry Henssler) and a sound not quite as brutal as before.

They became friends with The Misfits, wore their merch at shows (like you can see in the video) had songs dedicated to them by Glenn (most notably "Mommy...") and went on tour with them. I move into Cassini Towers east wing to access the main atrium, and I am accosted by more infectors who throw all types of necros at me. I take them out, but they totally drain my guns because I keep foretting to use telekinesis instead of spraying the crowds with precious ammo. I then move into an exhibition area, which is like the entrance to the church. I finally get to the church, and although it's majestic, I know that nothing but death and necromorphs await me. Thus begins Chapter 4. I find a save station, store & bench, so I stock up. As I move into Unity Hall (the second area of the church). Through the curved way overlooking the hall, I'm clobbered by more infectors and slashers. I use up nearly all of my ammo again, but I manage to survive. I loot everyone, then prepare to enter the elevator to trudge further into the creepy church... Andrew will present some of the history and development of this unique form of "programmed" music: from the early days of .MOD files, through modern programs such as Buzz. Radiohead's Paranoid Android, written/remixed in Impulse Tracker by necros in 1997. Presented in ModPlug tracker. One of my favourite creations by necros (along with Bugs In My Head), which also sounds better than the original in my opinion. You can download the module itself at the Modarchive. I couldn't fit all 27 channels in due to resolution limitations.
