Quantified-Self and OpenBCI Neurofeedback Mind-Hacking [28C3]

Quantified-Self and OpenBCI Neurofeedback Mind-Hacking Transhumanism, Self-Optimization and Neurofeedback for post-modern hackers Hacking Mind and Body -- self knowledge through numbers and mental reprogramming Since ancient times humans were trying to improve themselves. Today we have open-source computer technology that helps us. Can we use Neurofeedback to increase your intelligence? How do we go about answering the question? Trust the experts... Outsource responsibility?! Maybe not: We create beliefs ourselves without relying on authorities. We gather empiric evidence about changes of our intelligence. In this talk we will speak about our own experience on going that way. We will also speak about the results of other people in the growing Quantified Self movement. As hackers we look beyond the obvious and directly apparent, behind the curtain of the rabbit hole we find power to change reality. Let's turn the hacking mindset onto ourselves or shall we say our "Optimized Self". Get an overview of the latest trends in "Quantified Self" Self-Optimization, and mental techniques to level-up the projection of your digital self in the matrix. Using automated modern computer systems and electronic sensors, we can track the functions and changes of our mind and body and look into the "Mirror of the Digital Self". Analyzing, and finally optimizing, the patterns we find, a new and optimized self can be envisioned, and gradually metamorphed into, using scientific method and data ...

Neurofeedback St. Louis - qEEG Testing and Treatment for Children with Learning Disabilities:

www.LearningDisabilitiesStLouis.com 314-984-8412 Dr. Collins is a board-certified neurotherapist and expert at solving kid's problems typically related to children with learning disabilities or dealing with adults with learning disabilities. Dr. Collins is also successful handling common challenges related to children with ADHD or ADD symptoms, sensory integration dysfunction disorder, and he works to create a parent support system for dealing with child discipline issues. Some of the more common questions parents ask Dr. Collins are related to the expected results from neurotherapy or neurofeedback therapy when treating children with disabilities. What changes can a family expect when using neurofeedback therapy? How quickly will children with learning disabilities change from neurotherapy? Understanding the expected results up-front will help you determine the type of treatment plan you choose for your child. Typically each child is different and will respond differently to various treatments, but you will at least understand the time and money involved in the process. Dr. Collins says that asking for results is wise when considering neurotherapy or neurofeedback therapy for children with learning disabilities. Typically families see the child's "symptoms" subside within 20 to 40 sessions of neurotherapy or neurofeedback therapy, with treatments scheduled 1 to 2 times per week. Those "symptoms" could include temper tantrums, problems with homework, the ability to study ...

Biofeedback & Neurofeedback at the Vancouver Olympics 2010

Canada's top secret initiative -OWN THE PODIUM - involved the use of the latest in high-tech training. The biggest secret was the use of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback to train athletes to develop the ability to rapidly switch between a relaxed state and a super-focused state without wasting any physiological resources. Marge Dupee from the University of Ottawa discusses how effective this training was in enabling Alexandre Bilodeau, Jennifer Heil and others to win gold, silver and bronze medals. The equipment they used was from Thought Technology of Montreal, the same equipment used in professional sports clubs such as AC Milan, Chelsea, Skate Canada and the Vancouver Canucks, where the system is called Mindroom (mindroomsportscience.com). This equipment also monitored David Blaine while frozen in ice and has been used extensively by NASA in preparation for Space Exploration.

ADHS: Ohne Medikamente - stattdessen Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback for migraines

Do you suffer from migraines? Studies have shown that it's extremely effective. Some doctors say 85 to 90 percent of the patients with chronic headaches respond positively to neurofeedback. Neurofeedback involves mapping the brain to read its electrical frequencies allowing experts to see which places in the brain are working too hard or not hard enough. Neurofeedback is also used to treat ADHD and depression. Some professional athletes even use it to help them focus and perform better during games.

Neurofeedback Brain Therapy May Cure PTSD

Full story: bit.ly Military doctors have added a new technique to their arsenal of treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Neurofeedback, a therapy that practitioners claim can reboot the brain's neural networks, has been introduced at several bases, VA clinics and even in Iraq and Afghanistan. But despite heartening success stories, some experts question whether the approach has undergone adequate study to prove that it's more than just a potent placebo.
