ALWAYS ON: PK Subban

Despite only playing one season, PK Subban has already earned a reputation as one of hockey's most exciting young talents -- and for being a dude that hip-checks unlucky opponents into another dimension. But in his new ALWAYS ON video, we discover the 22-year old defenseman has also worked his tail off to become a seemingly sudden sensation. In this day-in-the-life narrative (stylishly told in reverse), PK lifts enormous barbells, drags heavy disks through the street, races across the ice and even gets in some time at a BBQ with his hometown Toronto crew. The video is backed by the track "Say I," by Saukrates, the veteran Canadian Hip Hop artist. www.nikesportswear.com

ALWAYS ON: TEAM NIKE

Team Nike served as the inspiration for Vado's summer anthem "Always On," and this video shows members of the squad practicing what the lyrics preach. We see how Adris "2 Hard 2 Guard" DeLeon and Quinton "T2" Hosley hold it down in the streets of New York City: they ride the subway, spend time with their families and, of course, get shots up in practice. "You gotta be dedicated everyday," says T2, a Harlem native, describing his focused mentality. "Always be ready to perform." At the end, we see the pair joining their teammates under the lights at Dyckman Park, the Uptown hoops mecca where Team Nike has been crushing opponents all summer. Check it out here. Tales From The Kitchen: Hyperfuse

During a research trip to China back in 2008 Shane Kohatsu, Nike's Innovation Lead for Basketball, noticed local ballers were wearing everything from running shoes to hiking boots. The game in China is predominantly played outside in hot, humid conditions and the courts are made of unforgiving asphalt, so naturally, they were picking their footwear to deal with their environments. In some cases the running shoe's breathability helped in the stifling conditions and for others the strength of their hiking shoes meant their footwear would last on the blacktop. Shane, and his colleagues in Nike's Innovation Kitchen, thought they could help these athletes by combining the best of those two worlds. Their solution was to take three materials and fuse them together into one material, to create a shoe that was off the charts in strength, yet allowed for a precise placement of mesh for breathability. Hyperfuse was soon adopted by other sport categories at Nike. Ben Shaffer, the innovation lead of Nike Sportswear was drawn to the way the technology absorbed color and the beauty of the depth of the multiple layers. He applied it to some of Nike's most revered styles like the Air Max 90 and the Air Force One. Here is the animated story of their journey: Tales From The Kitchen -- Hyperfuse.

Behind the scenes of Darrelle Revis: ALWAYS ON

In Darrelle Revis' new ALWAYS ON video, we witness the work ethic that has made him football's most dominant cornerback. But this behind-the-scenes footage supplies further depth, especially about his interests in music. "The stereotypical athlete lives and dies sports," says Jesse Boykins III, who provided the backing song "Island of Greatness." "It's good to know a cat like Darrelle is passionate about other things." Before writing the track, Darrelle supplied a list of his favorite artists and influences, from which Boykins created a musical "gumbo." Of course, we see Darrelle mixing it up on the field too. "They're working me out a little bit," he says during the shoot, his sweaty brow glistening under the beaming sun. And opposing receivers will be singing a sad song all season long.

Nike Sportswear Air Maxim 1

www.NiceKicks.com - Charged with updating a classic Nike design, 1987s Air Max 1, the Nike Sportswear Footwear Design Team dialed up technological innovations and re-mastered the performance and aesthetic of the original style to create the Nike Air Maxim 1. We took the original Air Max 1 design brief and ran it through a present-day filter, says Nike Sportswear Design Director Jesse Leyva. We tried to solve the very same problems Tinker Hatfield did with the technology of that time, using the technologies and Nike sporting innovations of today and tomorrow. The design team focused on lightweight stability and cushioning. The result is a staggering 66% weight reduction from the original, with the Air Maxim coming in at a mere 10.1 ounces. This dramatic weight reduction can be attributed to several key features Introduction of the innovative Acespan Mesh, a lightweight material developed for the 2008 Nike LunaRacer. Flywire Technology, drastically reducing the weight while creating an upper that moves with the foot and is stronger than ever. Deployment of a three-piece injected Phylon midsole, optimizing cushioning and support. Use of lightweight screen-printed Swoosh design trademark and eyelet details. Nike Sportswear "Sport is Art" Collection

Embracing sports as a powerful art form, Nike Sportswear launches the Nike Sportswear Tee Collection presenting the most enticing pop culture elements, together with Nike's iconic designs all on a T-shirt. In celebration of this innovative initiative, from May 17--26, the Nike Sportswear store in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong will be transformed into a pop art gallery showcasing 25 tees designed by the most sought-after creative talents from 11 countries. Echoing the line's spirit in asking designers to push athletic innovation to its extreme, Nike called upon an array of street artists, designers and illustrators from around the world to splash their flying imaginations onto a T-shirt. By using a T-shirt as their creative canvas, they were to draw inspiration from Nike's Air Max classic series. Through various mediums, including computer illustrations, sketches and ink splashes, etc., a creative pattern is formed vividly on a T-shirt, fully interpreting the essence of "Sport is Art." Nike Sportswear: Lucky, Episode 1: Origins

Robot Films' Founder/Director Chris Robinson has unleashed a trio of hilarious short films for Nike's recent 3X3 campaign to be featured on Nike Sportswear's website ( www.nike.com ) which marks the launch of its new Sportswear division. Robinson was one of three directors hand-picked by Nike Sportswear to shoot three, three minute webisodes showcasing the retro cool stylings of Nike's iconic running jacket, the Windrunner. Robinson's Lucky series follows the comic adventures of a struggling production assistant aptly named Lucky who comes to LA following his dream of becoming a music video director. Many of Lucky's adventures are based on situations Robinson himself experienced when he was starting out. "I've been kicking this idea around for a while," says Robinson, who originally conceived of the webisodes as a series of five minute shorts available for download via cell phones on his recently launched Fresh Network site (www.soveryfresh.com). The character always wore retro-stylings, so I thought what better forum to launch this character than utilizing the Nike platform." Episode one of the Lucky Series, appropriately titled Origins delves into how Lucky moved from New York to LA leaving behind a girlfriend and a best friend who were hooking up behind his back, a brokenhearted mom, and a dad who passes his favorite Windrunner on to his son.
