Her band had already done the rehearsal, but at the last moment Amy Winehouse decided to cancel the show because of exhaustion. Marcus Miller replaced her and invited some guests. Candy Dulfer @ North Sea Jazz Festival 2011 Rotterdam, The Netherlands July 9th 2011 Candy is joined by special guests Moon Baker, Hans Dulfer and the producer of her latest album, Printz Board. I managed to get on the frontrow and film a couple of songs from Candy's set. She started as the showstopper on the Nile stage at about 23.45 pm. She is on form as always. Good sound, nice solo's. Some new work was played aswell. When I have the new song titles I will update the setlist. Lily Was Here is played (rarely in setlist) and a very nice version it is, with an original ending. Pick Up The Pieces is very freestyling as all the special guests join on stage. North Sea Jazz Festival 2009 Stanley Clarke Victor Wooten Marcus Miller SMV. The sound was really like that unfortunately. When you see them live you understand, they share different tasks. Marcus Miller is really good playing the bass lines, he is like the root in the ground. Victor Wooten do a mervellous job as melodic instrument. Stanley Clarke is more playing a bit of everything. It was crazy to see a double bass solo from Stanley Clarke and just before that a Victor Wooten Bass Solo.

Lionel Hampton All Star Big Band at the Northsea Jazz Festival in 1978. This wonderful band made just one concert in the UK and I was lucky enough to be there. They are playing here John Coltrane's 'Moments Notice' and the fine tenor sax solo is by the least known member of the all stars-Paul Moen now no longer with us. He does a fine job here.
