"Speed Metal" Pt 1: Troy Industries/TNP Shoot by Nutnfancy

Light and strong. That's Troy stuff for your AR, 10/22, Mini-14, M14/M1A, and others. I always thought their TRX (and subsequent versions) were THE best AR-15 rails on the market: slimline, unobstructed, light, tough, non-rotational under torque loads, and they improve swing speed. Add in great BUIS and other billet accessories and they have a winning product line. And some cool people behind it too. Say hey again to James and meet Matt, two cool players who flew all the way from ME to shoot with the TNP crew. We set up Short Sledge Drill and make it happen, busy holiday season and all! With the PFIs and my son TacticalDoodle in attendance, the fun kicks off in Speed Metal Part 1. It's a cold and sunny day. I rapidly embarrass myself on my first run by having to resort to a backup gun whose zero is questionable for the ammo used. Oh well, suck it up and future parts will show some serious redemption. Matt lays down a good run as comes face to face with the realities of Sledge (ok short Sledge!). We take safety very seriously but not ourselves. Time to kick it with the TNP and Troy crew in another full feature, full length Nutnfancy vid series. We loved having these guys out!///////////////////Music: Jason Shaw

Gryphon M-10: "There When You Need It" by Nutnfancy

Seamless integration into your LBE (maybe lingerie if you're Katy Perry). That's the elegant Gryphon M-10 by Cutlery Shoppe. It's unobtrusive and hangs on through all your maneuvers. Designed by Bob Terzuola, this mini stabber features the upgraded VG10 steel that now arrives wicked sharp from box. The 4" spearpoint dominated the cardboard stabbing protocol I put it through (shown). After a 100 or so pierces and some cutting tests, the hollow ground edge still has a keen edge; very suprising. VG10 continues to be one of my favorite knife steels for this edge retention, ease of sharpening, and rust resistance. The Gryphon M-10 tip is strong and showed no wear in my testing. I'm sure if abused someone can break the knife but it's a rugged full-tanged companion. Black DLC coating wears well and kills reflection if you put the knife into my recommened Soldier POU. The 4" blade in a tactical folder would be considered large so don't be fooled by the Gryphon's compact form; some consider the size to be ideal for CQB (I continue to like a larger fixed blade for reach if it can be carried/integrated). Some jimping resides topside but it could be sharper. The Zytel handle has excellent side traction and features the "Bob T" squared shoulders which I'd like to see more rounded. But in the short cutting tasks this little Gryphon will be called upon to do, it probably won't matter. The Mike Sastre (of River City Sheaths) produced sheath is total perfection and each one is hand fitted <b>...</b>

Nutnfancy Favorite 10/22s: Troy/TacSol T-22

A bone stock Ruger 10/22 is a load of fun. Having shot them since 1976 and sent 10000s of rounds downrange in them, I'm in love with stock 10/22s. But they can be amped up to new levels of cool and capability. In this video I show you a Nutnfancy Favorite Ruger 10/22, a true Hall of Famer. On it I've mounted the Troy Industries T-22 "Sport" chassis and the Tactical Solutions threaded barrel and comp and some other minor components, all of which add a lot to the gun's fun. It's superlight at 5 lbs 4 oz and is razor fast into action (shown). The 6000 series chassis proved tough and durable in 1000s of rounds sent in harsh winter conditions. It attaches easily to the 10/22 reciever, it's very stable, durable, and provides monolithic optics capabilities. The included Troy Battlesights are phenomenal and when that front post is replaced with a .034" sight, amazing accuracy results. Of course props must be given to the also amazing Tactical Solutions barrel which easily achieves one hole groups at 50 yards (shown) with CCI MiniMag ammunition. I recommend always going with the threaded versions so as to attach the TacSol compensator or a quality suppressor. Reliabiity with Ruger BX-25, Butler Creek Steel Lips, and Tactical Innovations magazines was excellent overall. Preliminary testing of the BlackDog 50 rd drum in this setup disappointed. Cold Steel Lites: "Keeping It Light, Fast" by Nutnfancy

If it doesn't serve a direct life saving function you will probably pitch it. It's easy to talk big on the forums and stateside but when the bullets start flying and you're humping 100 pounds of gear over rugged mountains, unnecessary crap is getting pitched. I have seen this old Firepower vs Mobility equation play out again and again and I readily detect guys who DON'T get it. And yet having a fixed blade on your LBE is highly advised. For both utility and defensive use. The Cold Steel Outdoorsman and Tanto Lite blades fill the bill. At just 7 ounces, these featherweights can come along for the ride, ready for service. The are extremely high value for their abilities: only $20 (price, availability subject to change). Don't expect heavy duty splittling, hacking, or chopping performance here. That's not their job. Utility, food prep, and stabbing bad guys is their calling and in that they will rock. The 4116 German produced steel is up to the task, featuring adequate but not phenomenal rust resistance and edge holding. They arrive "offensively sharp" which is just the way we like them. The blades' bright finish on these versions should be DuraCoated (example shown) for improved camouflage if their combat bound. Krylon paint will work after a good sanding job too. The Tanto is a featherweight version of Cold Steel's gorgeous full featured Tantos but it's much lighter. The tip on both knives are strong with great penetrating power. "Speed Metal" Pt 2: Troy Industries/TNP Shoot by Nutnfancy

Man does that new TNP Barricade rock or what? Maybe we should call it the TNP armoire...Doodle could use it store his Star Wars figures in off days. But with that TNPB, the 200 yard stage is alive and well in Speed Metal Pt 2 when several players throw down some smack on the distant 10" plate. PFIDad puts in an amazing run, his best ever! His rest home was right when they said he is the best shooter they got...great job Dad! PFIDude is back in top form too as he throws down the gauntlet with an excellent run as well. Vindication never felt so good. Hey I want some of that too dude! My first run with RRA AR-15 was just silly and I wanted to leave the "caboose crew" and go hang hang out with the winners. Reminds me of high school. So I put away the POP GUNS and strap on a .308 Battle Rifle to go prove my manhood: the DPMS LR-308 TAC-20 rules the course in that run. I score a pure 10 out of 10 at 200 yds with the DPMS with Wolf ammo (and would have owned the day had it been faster!). We take some moments to discuss the outstanding Troy Industries product line and show it as well. Expect to see MCS action sometime in TNP; a great Mini-14 and M14/M1A option that solves the optics problems of those platforms. James gets some "awesome" guy points from me in the scoring to help him out a little bit. Matt slams his fair of steel and he shows his Multicam just ain't for looks. Nutnfancy SHOT Show 2011: Beretta Set to Embarrass ACR!

Beretta swoops in from left field with the seemingly excellent ARX160 tactical carbine, set to come ashore sometime in the future. Here's a first look at this impressive little 6.5 lb carbine lb (about time someone other than Kel-Tec got the weight right!). Here you will see us check out some of its cool features: seriously quick-change barrels (which have medium profile), inside-trigger-guard bolt release, no tool takedown, on-the-fly ambi bolt handle and ejection selection (wow), ambi safety, constant-engagement piston (no carrier tilt here), full railing, and excellent balance and trigger. Granted this is a first look and the proof lies in the shooting to discover the real ergos, accuracy, and durability. But all things are looking up with the impressive ARX160, especially its slated $1500-$1700 street price (subject to change). That puts it in the same value ballpark as a Ruger SR-556. In terms of weight, simplicity of design, and value it seems like it could deliver all the things the ACR and SCAR (value) series have not. Downsides might be the thicker handguard, the slim pistol grip, and limited adjustable stock; all of which might change in the production version. The ARX160 could be a big win for Beretta. Also we manage to get the admission that a .22 ARX version IS on the way as well. In the vid and here, I admonish Beretta to look carefully at the Sig 522 on how to make such a gun reliable with most ammo; dual stainless rails on which a highly polished bolt <b>...</b>

Nutnfancy Glock Mods

The Glock pistol is very serviceable from the box and many choose to keep it completely stock. Not me. With some cost effective mods the gun can be better. I usually will put in a 3.5 lb connector that will reduce the trigger, improve reset and LOP, and reduce overtravel. While it can also increase your accuracy and I find this mod (for me) improves my shooting speed. Good brands for this are Ghost, Scherer, and Lone Wolf trigger connectors (and others have also come and gone). I recommend leaving the Trigger Spring stock however and allowing the connector to do the lightening. Incidentally, I have no need for the heavy "New York" Glock trigger mods and find them ridiculous. I don't engage in any radical changes of the Glock grip to include frame replacement or radical frame modifications; mastering the grip angle of the Glock is easy enough and such mods add immense cost to your gun. But some Glock models suffer from the smooth sides that offer little traction. This can be easily solved with application of "Decal Grip" brand pre-cut traction material made specific for the gun. Available in either sand or thin hard rubber, the latter is my preferred material for ease on the hand and clothing while offering excellent traction even when wet. Other options include Brooks Tactical "AGrip" synthetic suede material (expensive, not as durable but great feel) and the rubber slip on sleeves (grabby to clothes, avoid the palm swelled varieties that increase grip size on a Glock <b>...</b>

"Fear No Evil" by Nutnfancy

No music, no fancy stuff. Just real talk on more serious issues. Does evil really exist? Millions of pacifists and protectionists say it does NOT and even if it did, the police will protect you. They consider YOU the evil ones, armed and paranoid people who stare at the world with steely eyes and furor, hoping for disaster. At least so goes their media and spins about the prepared individual (who have increased exponentially, some because of TNP). Much energy is spent by these individuals in attempt to control public opinion and sway views on the Sheepdogs of society. This video is mostly intended for that audience. In the vid I address the Realities of Evil (this vid's original name) as I feel it can manifest itself in ROL, WROL, and even Govt Tyranny situations. In ROL, the criminal predator finds weakness and exploits it. Begging for mercy doesn't work. At least it didn't for the murder victims in the Ogden Hi-Fi Shop murders in 1974, a clear example of this evil which I refer to. These attacks often result in the murders of innocent people, perhaps some of which thought it could never happen to them. I don't care about the motivations of such attacks, tortures, and subsequent suffering. We could all build a house of cards on how we've been victimized in life and use that as an excuse to attack society. Their victims are still dead, having done nothing to deserve such a fate. In WROL it will be even worse as the restraints of law enforcement services vanish. WROL can <b>...</b>

"Mob Rules" by Nutnfancy

Maybe coming to a neighborhood near you: a mob hell bent on destruction. No justification can be given for the violent attacks that ensue when mobs fear no retribution from armed civilians or lack thereof. This Nutnfancy Philosophy video is in response to the England riots of Summer 2011 and in support of many TNP fans who live there. Sadly the UK has criminalized SELF-DEFENSE and the most effective means to do it, namely civilian gun ownership. The fantasy world of the protectionist agenda has been brought into stark focus with these developments, supporting my previous vids and their philosophies of WROL. Attacks on businesses, individuals, and residences can be expected in this type of WROL situation and the determined individual should organize and plan a resistance in the absence or ineffectuality of police and emergency services. As set forth in many of my other vids, emergency services will quickly be overwhelmed and even if responding, their arrival will usually be too late. The damage and perhaps even deaths will have already have occurred. The England riots are localized and are most likely short term WROL occurrence but it gives insight to future iterations of the same. "Come join the fun" the rioters exclaim as they engage in a free for all looting and burn fest with fictitious racial underpinnings. Often emerging from lower income areas where the welfare state has been instituted, paid for, and failed, it's "get even time" with successful businesses and <b>...</b>

Sig SP2022: "The Stealth Sig" by Nutnfancy

This polymer Sig weighs less than the aluminum framed 200-series. But not by a lot; maybe a couple of ounces. I am always flabbergasted at manufacturers who produce a polymer pistol and it ends up weighing near 30 ounces. But once I get past THAT, things turn brighter on the Sig SP2022 in TNP testing...in fact it was downright surprising to me how well this gun ran. It is the successor to the marginally successful Sig Pro 2340, SP2009 series and is better. Better doesn't mean perfect however as the earlier SP2022s, with some bad parts and sloppy QC from Sig US had reliability issues. Upon its reintroduction, Sig got smart and had the gun made in Germany from 2008 on and those models seem to be 100% with good reports from various users. The gun shown and tested here is a good example of that. After 100s of rounds, the internal extractor equipped 9mm 2022 ran like a champ (even with Blazer aluminum cased ammo) and also showed very impressive accuracy. It is easily capable of 2"-3" groups at 25 yds. Ergonomics are excellent with swappable grip panels (shown), great night sights, a decent trigger, squared and roomy trigger guard, standard Picatinny rail, perfect slide serrations, easily accessed slide release lever, and the ideal Sig grip angle. Take down is a snap (shown). I prefer the standard DA/SA Sig trigger for its speed, safety, and precision and the SP2022 happily includes it. "Mosin-Nagant: The $100 .30-06" by Nutnfancy

For the $100 or so you can pay for a rack grade Mosin-Nagant, it is a superb centerfire rifle. Proven the world over in combat since the turn of the century (and before!) the venerable 91/30 Mosin-Nagant has won many fans for this amazing high value. Coupled with currently available and high quality 7.63mmx54R European surplus ammunition, the combination provides amazing levels of fun, utility, and training without putting you in the poor house. This ammo, usually a 147 gr LPS load in copper-washed steel cases with Berdan priming, is corrosive but it shot accurately and reliably in the 2 yrs of testing in TNP. Cleaning the rifle after corrosive ammo is simple and I recommend Hoppes #9 for the task. POUs on the Mosin include "fun gun," project gun, collectible, affordable WROL option, and hunting rifle...all discussed in the vid. With over 17.5 million Mosin-Nagants produced and the market having been flooded for decades with surplus rifles, most having been re-arsenaled and changed from their original forms, it is unlikely a run of the mill Mosin will gain in value. Therefore, as discussed, it's ok to modify certain plentiful versions for greater enjoyment. Two such rifles are shown and discussed in detail in the video. But I think most folks are wise to buy a Mosin and just keep in stock so as to preserve its ECONOMY. Running the Mosin 91/30 in tactical fashion as shown is a rush and will challenge your marksmanship skill. And the ability to master this somewhat crude <b>...</b>

"The .380 ACP Sucks" by Nutnfancy

It ain't the best choice in most situations. And yet the .380 is chosen probably more often than it should be for concealed carry defensive use. It remains an underpowered caliber compared to the 9m and especially the .40 S&W. However sometimes SAWC will dictate its selection as a primary armament. Perhaps in the POUs of backup, survival kit option, "T-shirt and shorts," "super carry" gun (discussed), or in other systems where ultra-concealability is needed, the .380 serves well. You are much better served with IT than without anything at all. But in terms of ergonomics, power factor, and especially economy, it's comes in a distant second to a well-designed sub-compact 9mm option like the KelTec PF9, Ruger LC9, Walther PPS, Kahr PM9, and several others. These guns weigh more than most compact .380 options but still give extreme comfort in their carry (the most important attribute which will decide if you have your gun or not when you need it!). For a little extra weight, you get a lot more performance. At 15 oz for example, the excellent KelTec PF9 offers superior ergonomics, sight radius, grip, power, improved firepower, and in some cases better reliability. And yet it's just as thin and easy to carry as most .380s. Look carefully at your choice of .380 as a primary armament. In some POUs it does make good sense but for most people it might provide a shockingly underpowered and expensive-to-shoot handicap in the goal of self-protection.////////////////////////Music <b>...</b>

"Why Big Knives Don't Suck" by Nutnfancy

Often misunderstood and untested by their armchair critics, large fixed blade knives serve impressively in certain roles. In this Nutnfancy Philosophy of Use video, the use of large fixed blades knives is explored. The focus is on wilderness use and how such tools excel in high altitude alpine environments when size and carry weight issues (SAWC) are considered. Contrasted against axe use, the large survival knife is usually safer and is more forgiving in stability bases (deep snow) when splitting wood. Several proven blades like the Ontario RTAK II, Cold Steel Trailmaster, the KaBar Heavy Bowie, the Ontario SP10 Marine Raider, and Ontario SP50 are referenced and shown. These knives are much proven in many hours of video form here in TNP as they tackle these woodscrafting tasks to include fire and shelter making. The axe possess certain disadvantages that dissuaded their use in my wilderness "stage:" usually has to be more specialized in its constructions for these jobs, it gets stuck in logs, and the large ones needed for effective large log are much heavier to pack in. A big blade can cut a 10" log in two with effective batoning. As such it can be a time saver when you are already tired from the steep hike in and succumbing to the effects of fatigue (less dexterity). Is this the time to have a specialized woods tool requiring special technique and skill? Hardly. Instead in most wilderness POUs the large blades minimize work and get your fires started faster, your <b>...</b>

"Live to Impress YOURSELF" by Nutnfancy

There is no limit to your success. Spend time and energy engineering your life and developing a motivation mental vision or image of your future self. This "vision" should be very specific and exciting to you. It should be real. Once your research into this "future you" is complete, you protect and strengthen this vision with the methods I discuss in the video. If it is correct and right for you, it will move you into action and you begin to accomplish the work needed to get there. Surround yourself by the things and people who help keep this vision real to you. But expect obstacles, naysayers, and very dark days along the way. The road to success is only for the committed and that is a good thing. Your background, your race, your gender really plays no part in achieving your goals and the door will swing open for anyone willing to pay the price. Coupled with strong work ethic and ability to sacrifice something good for something better, you can arrive at your dream. I know because I have traveled this difficult road myself, in many projects, with very little support and was blessed in the process. And yet this process of striving for even greater challenges will still await us as we will never "arrive." Growth, happiness, and satisfaction of being true to yourself and your own sense of integrity will bring fulfillment. I wish you the greatest of success and joy as you envision your success and fight to the top of the mountain that awaits YOU. Live to impress YOURSELF <b>...</b>

As previously noted in my three-part review series, it possesses outstanding ergonomics, incredible lightweight (24.6 oz!), kindergarten-simple field strip, high accuracy and reliability, adequate firepower (16 rds), Sig-like dedicated decocker (ambi mounted), hammer-forged barrel, good sights, good trigger, bobbed hammer, 1911 grip angle, three included magazines (great job FN!) and all at a very reasonable price. This guns looks were improved by my application of "Tactical DARK Earth" DuraCoat to the frame after careful preparation (all mag baseplates also prepped and coated for a finished look). Also the ambi decocker was milled off for right handed use to produce a slimmer slide profile. These mods, with the SS slide left in black, produce a cool and useful tactical look. In the initial review, all my data points at the time indicated the FNP9 to be an accurate, reliable shooter and indeed it has been. Accuracy out to 15 yds from the handheld standing position showed a tight clustering and I believe on hole groups at yards are easily achieved. Though not tested, 2-3" groups at 25 yds should also be achievable. The thin barrel has not been proven a detriment and I now feel the slide height is conducive to fast shooting. While still a very high value gun, expect to pay about $40 for each additional magazine you may want. Also decocker actuation does produce an irritating snap (due to the polymer frame <b>...</b>

Glock 17 vs Pistol Caliber Carbines by Nutnfancy

What advantages does a PCC have? Well for one you can shoot it better than a pistol. In this run of the Trench Warfare Drill I test the concept with the excellent Glock 17, 3rd Gen. It's wearing a Brass Stacker brand slide pull, also being tested. It runs well with Blazer Aluminum cased ammo and I have reacquainting myself with the Glock under stressed shooting. The first run comes in at a solid 40 pts, only two points behind my 9mm carbine runs in the Trench. But as tiredness sets in (many runs that day!) the second drops a bit in the offhand stage and I confirm a carbine is just easier to shoot for most guys. Pistol shooting takes strict adherence to marksmanship fundamentals to connect. Reference my Systems Philosopy video "Pistol Caliber Carbines Don't Suck (Afterall)" by Nutnfancy (www.youtube.com for more pros and cons on the PCC.

Kel-Tec SU-16C: "Featherweight Firepower" By Nutnfancy, Pt 1

PART 1 OF 3: The Kel-Tec SU-16C is a super lightweight, portable rifle possessing excellent firepower, good accuracy, and reliability. At a mere 4.7 lbs the SU-16C enjoys an amazingly versatile POU: backpacking gun, patrol officer carbine, civilian sheepdog weapon, or aircrew armament. As shown with Burris "Speed Dot" sight , 30 rd USGI mag (empty), M6 laser/light, and single point sling the SU-16C weighs still a svelte 5.8 lbs. The SU-16C is a high value gun and competes against that also excellent Ruger Mini-14 in the high value .223 carbine category (subject to change with pricing). It takes the ubiquitous AR-15 magazines which gives it plentiful and useful firepower. Integrating a built in Picatinny rail, the SU-16C can easily take optics to increase night sighting and overall hit potential. I recommend sticking to very lightweight sighting options on the gun to retain its portability and speed in handling. The iron sights however are good using a ghost-ring aperture system. They are capable of good accuracy at 50 yards as shown with my target proof. The SU-16C should be considered to have a break-in period and one model I shot experienced many stoppages until this phase was complete. Thereafter (and after cleaning and lubing), that example became 100% reliable with a variety of ammunition. Ensure the bolt, lock lugs, and bolt carrier wear a good lubricant like BreakFree CLP or Slip2000 to help ensure reliable functioning. Some users polish the bottom of the bolt <b>...</b>

"The Concealed Carry Protocol" by Nutnfancy

The carriage of a gun for self-protection or the protection of others is a serious decision. There are many psychological, legal, civil, and logistical ramifications of your decision. This video encourages their consideration. If a responsible civilian makes this decision there a certain "rules of the road" that should be followed in order to best prevent the use of lethal force and represent the CCW/CCP community responsibly. There are good voices in the pro-self-defence community that talk to many these issues and I have been adding my voice to these in many videos. Here's another, foundational in nature. Contained herein are mine, based on my over 18 years as a Concealed Carry Permit holder (civilian capacity) in every state I've lived in during that time. Addressed in serious fashion are considerations of "no carry" or so-called "gun free" zones and areas (better termed FREE FIRE zones for bad guys, see my vid: "Gun Free, Death Pay" by Nutnfancy www.youtube.com the carry attitude, interaction with law enforcement, open vs concealed carry considerations, engagement decisions and considerations, extraction and de-escalation of the confrontation, the psychological considerations of weapon employment as a civilian, and the mandate of proficiency. This is NOT legal advice, it is LIFE advice. It is for those good people who are willing to use lethal force under certain circumstances to save lives, most likely their own. "Adventure Xootr" by Nutnfancy, Part 1

PART 1 of 2: Get out and adventure! I like the gear that works, lasts, is high value, and can improve how you live your life. This Nutnfancy two part vid series shows just such a piece of gear: the "Xootr" high performance kick scooter. With many years, hundreds of hard miles, and adventures under my belt on my Xootrs, I am a big fan and it is a proven system. Rescued from oblivion, the original company "Nova Cruz" was purchased and saved by entrepreneur Tom Miner. He transformed the company into the currently successful and popular "Xootr LLC." They are a small company that has just a few employees, never advertises, and sells mostly on the web (you won't find it in stores). Chief engineer Steve Kovalchik at Xootr ensures a quality product and excellent customer service despite the high demand. Xootr users span the globe and include such celebrities as Matthew Broderick, Uma Thurman, Brett Favre, and Glen Close. That's because the Xootr is such a cool, environmentally friendly, and useful transportation device. I think it even beats the outrageously expensive "Segway" for getting around. Few, if any, serious transportation devices can fit into a small duffle bag and weigh less than 10 pounds. It is extremely easy to take along anywhere you go in the world. Here I highlight my favorite model, the "Xootr Mg" with its high traction and tough magnesium deck, low rolling resistance solid polyurethane tires (on magnesium wheels), fender kit, and front and rear brakes. . I am a fan of DuraCoating as shown in some previous project videos to include a Remington 700P, Cold Steel Long Hunter, Ontario RAT 1 folder, and Camillus Marine Combat knives. Reference the annotated videos. These projects have worn well and I stated then that more custom colorations for TNP equipment were on the way. And here they are: here we prep and spray two Ruger 10/22s and some knives (BM 710 and Nimravus) get the DC treatment in this vid. Vid shows the detailed takedown, sanding prep and spray work in the shop with the guys. As mentioned before, quality prep and taping is needed to achieve a first class finished product. Color shot here is DuraCoat Flat Tactical Coyote Brown. Future vids will show the finished products and discuss their POU (which I think most TNPrs will dig!). TacticalDoodle and InadvertentSmell were the helpers in Nutn's Little Shop of Horrors on this one. Good times but lots of work!

"Obligation of Carry" by Nutnfancy

Deciding to be an armed, licensed civilian is serious business. Mature, sound judgment and preparation in every facet of this decision must be exercised. And doing so is not cheap, its not convenient, it requires a perishable skill set, and its complicated by many legalities. Also expect you, the armed civilian, to be completely misrepresented by the media, lambasted and characterized as a fringe, paranoid, and borderline un-safe person. Hogwash. But that flak you'll get does not change the realities of you choosing to be legally armed. Nutnfancy says YOU do incur an "Obligation of Carry" if you decide to walk society as a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) or CCP (Pistol) individual. You absolutely must have your gun on you to the maximum extent possible...no joke. Yes there are places where being armed is illegal and inappropriate but there are lot of places where it is not. In fact most places, at least in the US. In this video Nutnfancy addresses the biggest folly of most guys and gals who have gone to the effort of licensing and buying their pistol for legal carry: they just do not carry it. Why is that? Chances are they have chosen a bad system (Nutnfancy term) of carry. Perhaps a bulky or heavy gun that requires special dress and carriage that rapidly becomes so taxing that its soon left at home. I've seen this phenomena MANY times over many years: big talk about a big gun but soon that big gun is left at home and by doing so that CCW holder has abandoned his <b>...</b>

Nutnfancy Project Year One

The Nutnfancy Project (TNP) is about producing quality gear, gun, knife reviews, protecting freedoms, promoting expertise and responsibility in dangerous things, advocating preparations for hard times, and making good memories with family and friends. Based on my own experiences and that of my friends and crew, I do my best to provide unbiased reviews on the items that interest me and deserve a wider audience. I pride myself on my independence of any manufacturer, forum, or commercial interest and it is one of the foundations of TNP. This video, much work in the making, shows excerpts from the first year of the Project, about August 20008 to August 2009 as we had fun and worked hard doing the adventures and reviews for the benefit my good subscribers around the world. I cant and wouldnt do it without you guys and man what a ride it has been! I am always humbled by the support and bow graciously in its receipt. More adventures, reviews, store visits, fun times, and surprises are ahead too as the Project rolls on! "Dangerous Things" by Nutnfancy

The "do-gooders" of the world have created a Fear Culture, teaching and advocating that ANY object, device, or thing that could possibly cause harm should be avoided and outlawed. This protectionist agenda serves to lessen public safety, NOT increase it. Moreover it has created millions of "sheeple" who claim NO personal responsibility, who have no self-reliance, and who completely lack the skill sets to operate and master "dangerous things." This is in stark contrast to days gone by; personal responsibility, common sense, and a variety of useful skill sets were passed onto growing generations and their use was matter-of-fact way of life. In many circles it's still this way despite ever-advancing government socialism. Within our own spheres of influence, we should all work to reverse the trend of idiocy, blame shifting, and incompetence that the "protectionist" culture fosters against items that hold potential for misuse. Instead of fearing these devices we should master them and become proficient, safe, and expert in their use all while embracing personal accountability. The military teaches young boys and girls to do this all the time with great success. When used by competent, good people of the world, these device INCREASE public safety and peace not lessen it. Surely there will be the crazies and nutjobs that will abuse them and cause suffering even death with dangerous things. But the percentages of this are miniscule and regardless, no amount of legislation has <b>...</b>

Condor Softshell Jacket: "All Conditions Performer" by Nutnfancy

Hook into a very tactical and useful outwear shell for around $80. In my extensive testing of this Condor Tactical Softshell jacket, I came away very impressed. It features amazing storage (8 well-designed pockets!), a perfectly designed and featured hood, great freedom of movement, long-enough sizing (probably order one size up dudes), great colors, pit zips, high quality stitching and zippers, and impressive attention to detail (like moral patches on the sleeves as well, Chums-brand zipper pulls, and perfect monochromatic color execution, and inner cell phone pockets). It is a copy of the also-excellent but stratospherically-priced TAD Gear "Stealth Hoodie" which in 2010 retails for $210. Wind, snow, and light rain resistance proved to be excellent in our RunNGuns in trying conditions; their breathable membrane seems to work as advertised and doesn't impart the clamminess that other Gore-Tex knockoffs do. I slammed this shell into the dirt, ran with it in the snow, mud, and rain and it came away no worse for wear and washed nicely. The Condor Softshell offers a near perfect all-around tactical or even around-town outer layer that you will fall in love with. /////////////////// Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 9 out of 10 (extending sizing would be make it a 10) /////////////// Music: www.torley.com ////////////// See either www.firearmspro.com (use code "nutnfancy" or www.uscav.com (use code "cavtnp", also our friend Brian Howell has another good review on this jacket!) for <b>...</b>

"Crossdraw Vest LBE Option" by Nutnfancy, Pt 1

PART 1 of 3: A quality made tactical Crossdraw vest is a excellent option to carry a limited weapons loadout and associated gear. I say you should always work backwards in deciding on an appropriate Load Bearing Equipment (LBE) system; just dont buy a tactical nylon vest and try to fill it up. Always think in systems. Realistically evaluate what tactical capabilities you will need in regards to ammo, secondary armaments (handgun, knives, non-lethal options like pepper spray and Asp batons), optics, food, first aid, etc. This equipment might be essential for many defensive scenarios such as the collapse of law and order (Without the Rule of Law or WROL), US military combat operations, and some Law Enforcement scenarios as well.. Tailoring these items to your anticipated engagement scenario will prevent excess weight carried and will improve your mobility and stamina. Dont carry more than you will need. There are indeed lots load bearing systems available now from different makers and many offer excellent versatility, toughness, and cargo capability. If you could be engaged in a knock-down-drag-out, full-on firefight in Afghanistan then there are better loadout systems than a Crossdraw vest. However either a BlackHawk or TacForce brand Crossdraw vest will suit most civilian sheepdogs and even some military or Law Enforcement users. It can be an Overt OR Covert carry system and I classify its capabilities as Medium. Its benefits are numerous: no extra pouches to buy and <b>...</b>

"Level 1" First Aid Kit by Nutnfancy

Sooner or later you will get hurt. And if it's not you, it will be someone in your party. Therefore be smart and self-reliant and always have some medical capability integrated into your systems. Here I cover my first option to do just that, a "Level 1" First Aid kit of my own construction. Siding with the emphasis on "Mobility", this kit doesn't contain supplies to handle every medical emergency. It is designed to handle most of the medical problems I've encountered in my adventuring. And at just 5.5 ounces and being very slim in profile, it is designed for high-speed outdoor, backpacking, tactical, or Xootring adventures (to be explained). This Level 1 kit has an emphasis on stopping blood loss, disinfecting wounds, minor pain stoppage, and bandage exchange. Components of the kit and some of the POU involved are explained; your preferences and needs may vary. Additional Level 1 kit items that I sometimes integrate include: sharp REI tweezers, surgical gloves, moleskin, Gorilla-brand duct tape (unless carried elsewhere in system), superglue vials (for wound closure), ACE bandages, salt and/or electrolyte drink mix (to revive dehydrated hikers), needles, and a scalpel. Integration of these items in the desired Level 1 size and weight constraints may be difficult however and is they are needed than maybe portaging a "Level 2" (more complete) kit would be warranted. I do not use "QuickClot" in a Level 1; too heavy and bulky and not necessary. Compared to even a quality <b>...</b>

SIG 522: "Tactical .22 Done Right" by Nutnfancy

Imagine a Tactical .22 carbine that will feed pretty much whatever rounds you throw in it. If it seems far fetched then you must have some trigger time of similar .22s that will occasionally jam and bobble unless fed a high impulse round like CCI Mini Mags, which are more expensive. The Sig 522 achieved amazing reliability in the Nutnfancy testing regime with several brands and types of rounds...not one jam in over 2000 rounds fired! And most of those rounds were low quality Federal WalMart HP ammo that gives my other tested guns fits...including the CMMG AR-15 conversion. This ability to take regular quality .22 ammo makes the 522 very cheap to shoot. This stellar reliability is contained within an original and cool rifle design that mimics the Sig 550/556 Classic lines and is often mistaken as such (the fake gas block adjustment is another nice touch). Its forend is trim and ergonomic and can be accessorized with useful railing for light and VG attachment (highly recommended for tactical practice). The barrel profile is perfect for a .22 and is topped off by a standard AR-15 threaded flash suppressor...outstanding. This means the Sig 522 can readily accept a suppressor. The receive is stout, milled from 7075 aluminum and when mated with the precision bolt is one reason the gun is so reliable: the bolt rides precisely in a milled aluminum channel. This aluminum receiver should prove to be durable in the attachment of optics and wear and tear. The lower receive is polymer <b>...</b>

4Sevens Maelstrom G5: "Surefire Killer" by Nutnfancy

The Maelstrom G5 is versatile and tough. But how does it function in the all-important weapon light POU? Bottom line: It's bigger than the 4Sevens Quark 123 Turbo and it provides about a 20% throw improvement. The 4Sevens Maelstrom G5 still will "wash out" at 100 yards and beyond and I found making detailed target designation with it through medium quality scopes difficult. Out to 50 to 75 yards/meters, performance improves and the beam is tighter. But that's in demanding, real-world (and frigid 10ºF) weapon testing in pitch black deserts against dark targets. I have not seen a CR123-powered torch that can really get the job done at 100 yards; I think the world awaits upgraded power cells of this size before the LED chipsets can achieve that (or we used alternate laser technologies which are making headway fast). But that's not to say the G5 Maelstrom is not a smokin' light, IT IS. At 375 Lumens (OTF) it provides amazing brightness for its size and weight and puts it all in a really tough, seemingly durable form factor...all at a very reasonable price point. It passed all TNP dirt, shock, and water testing easily. Like most other 4Sevens lights, it features some outstanding construction features: square threads, double o-rings on end cap, hardened glass lens with anti-reflective coating, 6061 alum. body, excellent knurling, double spring-loaded battery shock isolation, multiple bezels, pocket clip, lanyard, spare parts, and a welcome 1 inch tube size. "1911 Handgun Philosophy of Use" by Nutnfancy

It's no fluke that the 1911 style of handgun is still popular more than 100 yrs after its inception. Designed by firearms design genius John Moses Browning, the 1911 was ground breaking in its capabilities: it was accurate, reliable, durable, and hit hard in its .45 ACP chambering. It quickly acquired a loyal following as it fought in both World Wars, Korea, and even Vietnam with distinction. And that reputation with these returned servicemen continued on into their civilian lives when they sought to acquire their own 1911s. In this video however, I concentrate on the Philosophy of Use or POU for the type and address the design's capabilities when evaluated for role. POUs including the Go to War Gun (GTWG), Home Defense, Competition and Recreation, Concealed Carry, and "Addiction" handgun are discussed in detail with pros and cons identified. Steel framed 1911s predominate the market but are heavy for their limited magazine capacity (single stack versions). But for absolute durability, quicker shot recovery, less fatigue in extended shooting, and gunsmithing capes, the steel framed versions remain popular. Depending on POU, they are appropriated and preferred. AS a GTWG, I prefer that aluminum or Scandium framed 1911s (and in the other POUs as well). Training with the type is mandatory and the 1911 with its manual safety offers some chances for mistakes when under stress. Size and weight and firepower considerations for the 1911 are addressed. Nutnfancy SHOT Show 2011: Now That's a Tactical .22!

Make your 10/22 into an M4. Yes, there's been attempts at that already but I think the new Troy T-22 10/22 "Sport" Chassis is the best I've seen. Features are impressive: super lightweight (someone's paying attention), trim handguard ala TRX, positionable rails, integrated flip-up sights, no flex (unlike some polymer options), single point sling attachment, and it takes AR-15 handgrips and buttstocks. The only detectable downside is the cost: it's up there at around $300 retail. I suspect it will come out in desert tan colors as well as it takes off. Unlike the heavy 6.5 lb Ruger SR-22, the Troy T-22 gets the M4 mimicry correct and fulfills all the requirements for the Tactical .22 ( www.youtube.com ). TNPr James does a great job at hosting this Nutnfancy visit to Troy as we hit the details on the Troy lineup. The new Troy Alpha Battlerail is an upgraded TRX that fixes some of the strength issues they've identified. As I said in SHOT 2010, the TRX sets the industry standard in thinness, lightweight, and pointability and remains a competitor favorite. The VTAC version is similiar with elongated slots; I prefer the standard Troy with the circle milling. Battlerails and integrated chassis are also available for some surprising guns like the VZ-58 (shown, also DPMS LR-308, Mini-14 MCS, all xlnt but $$) and probably more will come out. Ruger GP100: "American Steel" by Nutnfancy

Inspiring confidence and making hits. That's the full sized, full weight Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum. This brushed stainless steel Ruger GP100 #KGP-141 is classic American Steel. As a true "Gun Totin' Freak," I've wanted one since age 10. Exiting from over a year of testing in TNP, this gun proved to be another Ruger TANK of a gun. It's solid, reliable, and accurate...all results shown. The out-of-box trigger sucks and needs some work however. Enter Terry G from Impact Guns whose work transformed the TNP GP100 into a wicked smooth combat masterpiece; trigger now breaks at 3 lbs SA, 7.5 lbs DA and is 100% reliable. Running and gunning with this upgraded GP100 was pure enjoyment and all TNP crew fell in love with it. It's smooth and fast and, once I got it dialed with some sight adjustments, very accurate. The current Ruger Hogue grips are perfection for me and they're not going anywhere. But since the GP100 is so commercially successful, if you don't like them (or the sights for that matter), aftermarket options abound (also holsters and speed reloaders). Improving upon its predecessors, the Security/Service/Speed Six, the GP100 is a stronger design utlitizing a thick frame, top strap, and dual locking pawls which anchor the 6-shot cylinder. The .327 model has a 7 shot cylinder. With practice and time, reloads can come fast to you making up for the limited rounds count. But from a purely recreational POU, the GP100 in whatever barrel length and finish suits you, is a huge win <b>...</b>

Springfield XDM: Review and Update by Nutnfancy

The XDM improvements are a win. I would prefer the XDM over the XD if I'm buying one. While I don't consider the improvements revolutionary, they are meaningful and help perfect the design. In the XDM you will note: a more streamlined slide profile, "Mega Lock" grip traction, larger magazine capacities (19 rds 9mm, 16 rds .40 SW!), improved slide serrations, frame indentations, match grade barrel, shorter reset and lighter "USA" trigger, Melonite® rust proofing on the blackened slides, extended mag release (but still unobtrusive), outstanding sights (love them!), multi-slot accessory rail, and simplified non-firing fieldstrip. Also this XDM weighs in at an impressive 28.5 ounces; an accomplishment for a full size 19-round service pistol. These improvements make the XDM design even better and more shootable for many users. And yet the XDM remains a very high value gun, with lots of included accessories in the reasonable price and excellent durability (the included case is the best I've seen in any handgun rig and the inclusion of 3 mags is outstanding value). That is another reason it has garnered so many fans. For me comparisons against the Glock are still appropriate and each design has its highpoints and for many it will just boil down to personal preference. For small-handed shooters however, the XDM (and XD) might make a better choice with its small circumfrence grip (even with the 4th Gen Glocks). It's 1911 grip angle is indeed excellent and preferred by me. But I <b>...</b>

Quark AA2 Tactical flashlight: Pack Leader

4Sevens continues to be a standard setter in the world of high performance, multi-mode portable lighting products. A great representation of this is the Quark AA2 Tactical light reviewed here. It has an amazingly clean beam that throws very efficiently (and far for an AA torch) and kills the competition in terms of cleaniness, lack of artifacts, and concentricity. It is effective to about 50 (maybe 75) yards when detailed indentification is needed. Put that beam in a durable 6061 aluminum body that wears a Type III hard anodizing that features IPX-8 waterproofing. Proven in my own extensive water testing, I found the Quark AA2 Tactical to be extremely waterproof with no failures noted (even in open water testing to about 25 feet). Weight on the AA2 Tactical will vary from a very light 3.2 ounces to 4.0 ounces depending on the type of cells. It is extremely portable and will fit into just about any POU. The Quark AA and 123 series utilize a common emitter head and tailcaps which also can be interchanged with each other (and ordered separately) to create your own lights...very cool. Burn times and brightness levels achieve excellent capability for the utilized emitter heads (XP-E R2 LED version reviewed and tested, XP-G R5 version referenced and current as of Mar 2010): Moonlight mode @ 0.2 lumes for 30 days, Low @ 3.5 lumens for 5 days, Med @ 18 lumens, High @ 70 lumens for 5 hrs, Max @ 170 lumens (R2 version, 206 lumens R5 version) for 1.3 hours (2.5 hours R5), Beacon <b>...</b>

DuraCoat Firearm Finishing Intro by Nutnfancy

Paint is a quick way to get the color you want on your gun and lots of troops just shoot their gun with some Krylon and call it good. But it's not durable and most paints wear quickly. Enter DuraCoat by Lauer Weaponry in Wisconsin. They make a huge variety of durable epoxy finishes for guns that promise to wear extremely well. Moreover YOU, yes YOU, can even apply it. This is a quick video showing my application of "Stone" color DuraCoat to a Remington 700P .300WM rifle after appropriate preparation. The DuraCoat "Level II Starter Kit" includes an airbrush, air hose and couplings, 15 oz propellant can (which didn't work well for me... had to use hobby air compressor for good results), mixing bottle, color bottle, mask, gloves, measuring spoons, 2 oz reducer, 1 oz TruLube (not used), and good instructions. Surface preparation is the most time consuming task; you'll need to rough up smooth surfaces for preparation (Lauer also sells metal prep liquids which I feel are unnecessary). Make sure you do this in a ventilated area as shown. Results are impressive and I suspect I will be using their camo stencil kits in the future. Downsides are more expense (but much cheaper than other finishes like Robar's NP3), more work than painting and it might be hard to relate the catalog color to your desired shade (mine was lighter than depicted)./////////////Nutnfancy Initial Likeability Scale: 9 out of 10

Kelty Gunnison 2 Tent: "Alpine Press" by Nutnfancy

The Kelty Gunnison 2 series out-performs its price level and as proven in this actual high altitude test, it can be pressed into mountaineering service when needed. Its 92"x58" floor area and 40" height provides its users with 37 sq ft (+10 sq ft vestibule) of living area (specs subject to change of course). I prefer rectangular floor plans for their roominess and simplicity and Gunnisons have it. This gives excellent livability for one dude or dudette plus dog; two adults will find it a tight fit. Factory weight is listed around 5 lbs 9 oz but my upgraded Kely Gunnison 2 weighs in at actual pack weight of 6 lbs 11 oz. These upgrades include a cut and fitted footprint (from plastic blue tarp) and 8 MSR GroundHog tent stakes (superior to the stock aluminum ones). Expect fast pitching due to color-coded tent fly and clip pole attachments. Some sagginess in the sidewalls may be noted in the design, a characteristic of two-pole designs. The polyester rain fly is excellent, providing double vestibules on each of the zippered, mesh entry doors. The crisscrossing DAC aluminum two pole design is common and some noodly-ness should be expected but most will find it adequately strong. But when properly guyed out, extra rigidity is achieved and the tent Gunnison will ride out moderate winds well (angled rain fly sheds wind well too). Velcro pole attachments for fly-to-poles are provided. Poles are DAC 7000 series aluminum. Mesh integration is excellent (as shown) and achieves good <b>...</b>

Nutnfancy SHOT Show: ARSENAL AKs!

Come on along for an exciting visit to the ARSENAL booth, ala Nutnfancy style, at the 2010 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. If you are like me, you will come away from this Arsenal visit wanting one of these AKs. Our host is Arsenal Sales Director Walker English. He speaks with authority of his AKs and demonstrates the impressive quality levels achieved in the Arsenal AK-variants. The previously-discussed AK vs AR-15 considerations still are applicable but the AK with its amazing reliability, toughness, simplicity, and COOL factor holds MUCH attraction (for me too). Shown in the video are the ARSENAL SGL21-72 (very cool plum colored stock set, NATO length), SGL21-63 (equally cool OD stocks, NATO), SLR 106-33 (5.56x45, in photo), SA RPK-7 (wow, which they could make it, expect it be $$$ if they do though), the gorgeous blond wood equipped SA and SAS M-7 Classics (milled receivers, flawless execution, expensive!), Bulgarian SLR106-34 (skeleton folding stock, Warsaw length), SLR 107-F (side folding 7.62x39mm AK-variant, seen in my AK vs AR-15 vids!), SLR106-31 (full stock, Warsaw length), SGL31 varieties (5.45x39.5mm, Warsaw Pact length stocks), and some others. What makes the Arsenals stand out? Quality, attention to detail, and observation of many of the AK/AKM design features that ensure longevity, accuracy, and higher levels of authenticity. Cold Steel SRK: "Soldier Ready" by Nutnfancy

A Nutnfancy top pick for a deployment knife for combat-engaged soldiers, the SRK (Survival Rescue Knife) has a lot to offer the serious blade user. For one it's affordable. It's hard to find a quality stainless steel knife in this category (6 to 7 inch blade) and almost impossible to get it for around $60. By comparison the also-excellent amd similar Fallkniven A1 costs at least twice as much as an SRK. It is your affordable, quality alternative that should offer just as much capability. The SRK hasan impressively 3/16 thick spine that should excel in prying, chopping, cutting, wood splitting, and stabbing taskswithin its six inch limitations (spoken to in the video). The modified bowie clip blade is purposeful, avoiding nonsense design features that would detract from both its survival and combat usefulness (like sweeping curves meant more for Hollywood than the wilderness). Of course its just a 6 blade so that means it comes with some limitations and thats to be expected: it wont chop, hack, or cut as easily as a big ole survival blade like the CS Trailmaster. Thats just physics guys. But it sure is lighter: total carry weight is a mere 11 oz and that makes the SRK a top choice for soldiers and wilderness-bound NCs who need a strong fixed blade but not the knee-grinding loadout weight of a full sized blade. Its Kraton handle is outstanding, offering excellent purchase, shock absorption, and non-slip characteristics for your cutting tasks. And the whole package is topped <b>...</b>

"Close To Engage" by Nutnfancy

Sheepdogs are kind and empathetic but they are also warriors and deadly to the wolf. In this to-the-point video, I recommend closing with a mass murderer to engage him. This will save lives and other "feel good" alternatives to prevent these shootings have failed, resulting in more dead people. Thousands of responsible civilian Sheepdogs will GREATLY improve public safety and it is the REAL answer to stop these killings, not more asinine disarmament laws that have never worked. These shootings are rare but nevertheless continue to claim innocent lives. Placing more good armed people in the paths of these wolves can help de-rail their success. Always use good judgment, maturity, and your own "unlock codes" (correct situational assessment and weighing of alternatives) before deciding to use lethal force and intervening in these situations. Non-lethal alternatives can be employed by the Sheepdog to disable the shooter but they must achieve immediate and reliable incapicitation to be effective. Generally a decisive lethal counterforce will need to be employed against such a mass murderer. Also note that history has shown tin these situations that surrender does not work, begging for your life does not work, and as many victims have found out, cowering in a corner does not work. Only the use of directed and effective gunfire so far has stopped these murderers (but other options as discussed do exist). Engage the bad guy with good tactics, preferrably from behind or on a flank <b>...</b>

Vortex Strikefire: "$135 Aimpoint?" by Nutnfancy

1/3 The cost of the average Aimpoint or EOTECH option, this red dot sight offers much of their quality (not all). Expect a 7.2 ounce sight. That's pretty light. The CR123 powered Vortex Strikefire gives you switchable red/green capabilities, night vision mode, attached waterproof/dustproof caps, and even includes your choice of high or low mounts and a 2x magnifier. The mount worked well and seemed adequately tough. Unlike some other value red dots, the tube view isn't dimmed with an overly blue or green presentation. Value is excellent at around $135 or so. Downsides include a too-easy to actuate NV mode, caps that are tough to re-seal, a dot that doesn't go bright enough for some daylight conditions and electronics not as tough probably as the mil-spec variety. But for the price you'll be hard pressed to beat the Vortex Strike Fire in 2011.////////////////////Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 8 out of 10

Nutnfancy SHOT Show 2011: Kel-Tec Moves To World Domination

You might find some good laughs and perhaps some fun in this Nutnfancy Kel-Tec 20111 product update. But as you've come to expect, I stay on target and hit the details like no other. The good, the bad, and the outstanding high points of Kel-Tec are discussed here. Chad from Kel-Tec is especially cool and turns out to be another Gold Star host for TNP. He rolls in most excellent fashion with the Nutnfancy style as we delve into yet more Kel-Tec impressive innovation. Namely their 26″ 12 gauge bullpup shotgun that will carry 14+1 rounds. Weighing in at a respectable 6.9 lbs, the Kel-Tec KSG-12 seems compact, fast, and sets new standards of PUMP shotgun firepower. The innovative KSG features include on-the-fly user-selectable magazines (each holding 7 2 ¾" rds), magazine cutoff ability for loading single rounds, plenty of railing for accessories and a VG, different colors, sling attachment points, and has screw-in cokes. If it's everything it seems to be the KSG will be another slam dunk seller for KT and the crew (and of course probably impossible to find for the next year). Also we check out the also impressive RMR-30 .22 WMG semi-auto carbine. In conversations with Kel-Tec, this is a gun I wanted them to make. It fills a distinct niche in as a lightweight, high-value survival/bug-out rifle with substantial firepower. And it uses the more-affordable and yet potent-enough .22 WMG (not the very expensive and flatlined 5.7x28mm). It seems to still be in development and expect <b>...</b>

"The Sheepdog Concept" by Nutnfancy

Your actions could save lives. At the heart of what I have referred to as The Sheepdog is a selflessness that looks outwardly to the needs of others. They cannot abide watching their fellow humans beings suffer and die while they do nothing. They are compelled into action even when those actions could lead to their own deaths or injury. The Sheepdog comes from every walk of life, every race, and can be male or female; it is impossible to identify them from appearance alone. It is their actions in the face of horrific situations that reveals the Sheepdog as they step forward when no one else will. Lenny Skutnik, in the face of the tragic Air Florida crash in 1982 into the icy Potomac River, was just such an unassuming Sheepdog. He jumped into the aviation fuel soaked and frigid waters to save passenger Priscilla Tirado just before she slipped beneath the water to her death. Hundreds had been watching Priscilla flounder and would have watch her die without doing anything. These are sheep that are frozen into inaction by their lives of denial and lack of mental and material preparation. They are not bad people but nore are they heroic; they're just there. Leeny's Sheepdog heart was revealed that day. They are others like him in civilian, law enforcement, fire fighting, and military ranks. But they are relatively few indeed and they are special. Few have what I feel possess the other key qualities of the Sheepdog (discussed in the video): a strong value system, unassuming <b>...</b>

Lessons of My Father: "Depussification" by Nutnfancy

Our ease of life is a curse to many. A large majority of our citizens are "pussies." They are not equipped to handle difficult circumstances, ensure their own self-reliance, face and conquer hard work challenges, and rise to the occasion when circumstances become tough. They are immersed and possessed by the artificial "PUSH-BUTTON" World (PBW) which consumes their existence. In fact they are often addicted to it and when, not if, this PBW comes crashing down around them, many will give up their will to live. That is shocking but true. As a society we have far strayed from the hard work, self-reliant, can-do principles that our forefathers used to create the very societies which we now enjoy. To integrate these principles of mental toughness and tenacity in the face of hardship is to "depussify" our children and perhaps ourselves. The easy life is indeed wonderful and is to be enjoyed fully. These are GREAT times full of amazing luxury, food, technology (like YouTube!), and gear that makes our lives easier, safer, and recreational. But all parents should strive to depussify their sons and daughters and encourage and teach meaningful skill sets that don't require a video game, electricity, or makeup. This can be done through fun but challenging family outings like backpacking, fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, and shooting adventures where we leave the PBW behind and strike out on a multi-day excursion, far from society, to live "real." You should prove to yourself (and <b>...</b>
