Black Friday 2011: The 99 percent fight over 4gb Memory Cards (INSANE)

Walmart Oakland, Nov. 25th, 11:57 PM. aka the "Oakland 4gb Memory Card Riot" A deranged mob erupts over 2$ 4gb memory cards and a few (very few) 50$ Kodak cameras. BY POPULAR DEMAND THE A SPEED METAL "MOSH" VERSION IS HERE: www.youtube.com (MUST SEE! ) About the title "the 99 percent". I think the video is basically just funny, but I was trying to shed a little light on how absurd the inequality is in this country. ie: the poor are grappling for table scraps (literally here) just to be first in line to pay the rich (Walmart and it's shareholders). It's definitely not intended as a dig on occupy movement or on the poor. But looks like a few racist winguts are using this video and it's title as some sort of exemplar to rally against both the poor and the "99 percent". Whatever. (All racist comments will get reported and eventually deleted anyway.) The only reason the majority are black here is that this is Walmart Oakland, a mostly black community. Believe me poor white people (and some rich ones) were moshing the hell out of Walmarts in Iowa and Idaho they just didn't happen to have a professional with a DSLR camera standing by -;) Enjoy the vid!

Video of arrests at Occupy Oakland Thanksgiving protest

Video courtesy: freeingthemedia www.youtube.com ---original description--- Occupy Oakland was celebrating Thanksgiving by sharing a meal and having a space that all could present their talents when a truck arrived to drop off portable toilets for the community. Officers were immediately on the scene and after about ten minutes the police asked the driver to leave with the portable toilets. The crowd was upset that on a day of celebration basic needs were not allowed to be delivered. Shortly afterwards an officer is seen tackling a citizen and another police officer helps push the citizen to the ground. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

Oakland Revolt: Occupy cop crackdown

The city of Oakland, California, is reeling after one of the biggest protests the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement has seen. About 80 demonstrators were arrested and several injured after what started as a peaceful rally was met with a heavy-handed police response at the end of the day. Hours before that, thousands of anti-corporate protesters forced a shutdown of America's fifth largest sea port. That's as the general strike - America's first in over half a century - also paralyzed several businesses in Oakland's downtown. RT correspondent, Lucy Kafanov, was at the very heart of unfolding events throughout and describes how they developed. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

"America has to wake up to this new reality: the Cold War battle between communism and capitalism is back, only this time it's on our front porch. It went underground in the 70s, got an education, put on a suit, bought a house and had a couple of kids. Then it used the schools to educate new foot soldiers and manipulated the pop culture to indoctrinate the next generation of fellow travelers who seek to create a new world order in the image of old world Marxism." At approximately 10:00pm this evening, a group of approximately 300 protesters in the area of Frank Ogawa Plaza began throwing large rocks and bottles at officers after receiving the order to disperse, which again prompted the use of less than lethal munitions." www2.oaklandnet.com Q.
