Our eating habits have come a long way in recent years but with complicated labelling and so much information out there, knowing what's good for you isn't always that easy. This is a low fat, high protein, high fibre and high carbohydrate breakfast that only takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare and serves 2 people. SHOPPING LIST 6 Large Eggs 1 Cup Uncooked Oats 2 Bananas 2 Teaspoons Peanut Butter 2 Teaspoons Honey 150ml Low Fat Yogurt PREPARATION Crack open one whole egg into a mixing bowl Separate the other 5 egg whites into the mixing bowl Mix the 1 egg and 5 egg whites Add the cup of uncooked oats Mix well and set to one side Peel the bananas and slice up on 2 plates Heat a large frying pan and cover with non-stick spray When the pan is heated, add the oats & egg mixture Cook for about 2-3 minutes - the "cookie" will become golden brown Carefully flip the cookie over - remember it will be hot, so don't burn yourself Cook for a further 2-3 minutes until golden brown Remove from stove Slide the cookie on to a flat cutting surface Slice the cookie into 4 equal pieces Spread some peanut butter on 2 of the slices Pour a little honey over the slices with the peanut butter Put the other 2 slices of cookie on top of the peanut butter & honey slices - making a little sandwich Place the 2 cookies on the plates with the sliced banana Pour some yogurt over the cookies - and serve We used bananas in our recipe, but you can use any fruit. sorry the editing sucks! i had so much footage and had to cut so much out. OK here are the precautions w/ lye Lye is extremely caustic--this means it is extremely harmful to you! Take extra mesureas to keep it out of direct contact with your skin, eyes, etc. we're talking longsleeves, pants, gloves, goggles, etc. So if lye is so harmful to you why would i put it in my soap? well when the lye is mixed with the oils and allowed to cure it ceases to be caustic/harmful. And becomes a wonderful cleaning agent in soap! Are the finished soaps harmful or burning? Absolutely not! They are pretty darn wonderful! :D Ingredients: Lye, Distilled Water, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Oats, Fragrance. Hot Process Soap Vs Cold Process Soap: (if your still reading this, your wonderful! :D) Cold Process is when the oils and lye are brought to the trace stage and then poured into molds and left to cure for 6-8 weeks until the lye is no longer caustic. Pros: Smooth pour Cons: Long wait time to cure, uses much more essential/fragrance oils. Hot Process speeds that all up and cures the soap during the heating process. HP soap is usable right away. Pros: Shorter Wait period until you can use the soap, needs less essential/fragrance oils since you add them after the lye is not caustic. Cons: Thick pour, can appear lumpy afterwards although this doesnt affect the outcome of the soap itself. Ok that about does it. if you have any questions pm or comment me :D
