I'm Not The One (The Cars / Ric Ocasek cover)

Recorded on November 28, 2011 using a Flip Video camcorder. My homage to Ric Ocasek using a new Epiphone AJ500. I thought this would be a great song to do with an acoustic guitar knowing he writes on guitar only to find he already has a video of him up doing this. That gave me a great blueprint and thanks to SAUCHEZES for putting it up there. My strumming pattern turned out different and I couldn't do it like Ric but, this is what came out. Hope you enjoy it.

The single reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number one on the Album Rock Tracks chart. The song was Ocasek's only Top 40 hit as a solo artist. The Cars rock band; Interview with singer Ric Ocasek

The Cars were a relatively new band from Boston when they made an appearance at the Spectrum in Philadelphia in 1979. Lead singer, Ric Ocasek sat down with Rock Reporter, Cyndy Drue for this report that aired on Eyewitness News, KYW-3. The Cars have reunited after many years with a new album and tour that included a date in Philadelphia May 22, 2011. Their new CD is called "Move Like This."
