Check out a written review here: shukuenshinobi.wordpress.com New show, new gimmick, new capsules. Upon us now is the first volume of both Capsule and Candy Toy O-Medals. Woohoo! Let's take a look at the Capsule O-Medals for now. These ones are actually pretty neat, and make the best substitute for the DX O-Medals. Unlike the Candy Toys, the Capsule ones keep the DX version's die-cast rim, and are cast in a slightly different plastic. The backs, instead of featuring the lines found on the DX versions, are flat, and features a three star pattern etched inside the medal. Just something cool to make them a bit unique. Unfortunately, scanning the medals produces the same sounds we're used too. On the upside, the Rider Medals introduced in this set feature a nice, brilliant blue rim, so they look absolutely beautiful, at least to me. Overall, the set is sort of hit and miss. the Core Medals are the same thing you have with the OOO Driver. In order to enjoy the Medals, you need to have bought the OOO Driver, leaving these rather redundant outside of customizing, toting them around with you, or wanting to be like the Greeed and have multiples (like me). The Rider Medals however are really neat, and they look great. Just like the Rider Memories of old, it's up to you on whether you want them or not, but at least there are some things in this set to make it worth it.
