Optoma HD33 3D Projector Video Review
Optoma's HD33 is a good projector. In fact, it's a great projector. There are several stand-out features that we'd like to point out. First, color is incredible, right out of the box. We used the Cinema mode and set the lamp to Standard to reduce light output. This gave us just under 700 lumens, perfect for our light-controlled room and a configuration that gave us deep, rich black levels. Just playin with my fancy shmancy new projector and testing how it looks on camera. I'd guesstimate the image on my wall is roughly 100 inches diagnal (big upgrade from my 42 inch samsung!) In the beginning of the video i'm talking about something that i'll probably show in my review that some settings don't appear very kickass on camera. There were things that i wanted to point out for anybody researching this projector since it seems like there were next to NO helpful videos of this when i was looking into buying this: -no screen door effect -black levels are pretty amazing. Even comparable to my samsung plasma -colors look vibrant and not washed out -at 2500 lumens, this projector can get pretty fucking bright. And this isn't even on the bright setting. Optoma PT100 LED Projector.
I decided to buy a "cheap" projector for my non HD game consoles, such as the NeoGeo AES, The Sega CD, and the Dreamcast (with the VGA adapter for 480p of course)! It turned out better than I expected, I bought it for $179 at Amazon and well it has about 30000 bulb life being it an LED - Cons of course are as follows: It only has 50Lumens, limited connections, no remote. I own a BenQW1000 H 1080p Projector. I do recomend it if you are just getting into projectors. The Optoma is advertised as a toy, but don't let that fool you; it is a great lil projector!!!

Optoma HD 65 and optoma 3DXL 3D Projector Adapter install
Though Id put together a bit of info on the 3DXl Projector adapter. The firmware upgrade for my HD65 came out towards the end of December 2011 so I took the plunge and purchased the Adapter and the glasses from Tesco Direct . First thing to do was download the free upgraded firmware for the projector which took around 10 mins from the very clear instructions on the Optoma web site. www.optomaeurope.com Price for the Adapter was £199 and an extra pair of glasses cost £59 also from Tesco. Initially I had a lot of setup issues and this really prompted me to put this film together. Main issue was red flaring on the screen coupled with blurring and signal loss on non 3d channels. Eventually I came to realise that the cables were not up to scratch from my sources (PlayStation and Sky Hd box) and also found a thread that suggested lowering the output of the HD box to 720p in the Sky setup page. So out to Maplins and got a 20m 1.4 HDMI cable (ouch ) for £60 and a .5m 1.4 hdmi cable for ( ouch ) £20 lowered the resolution to 720 and low and behold perfect operation and stunning 3d images. and full switching between playstation / Blueray and Sky HD Box. All in all a great upgrade which allows the viewing of 3d at a pretty good price . Saved me investing in a new tv and gives me 75" 3d tv at one swoop. Any questions give me a shout . Sorry about the poor camera work at the end I wasnt paying enough attention.

Optoma HD65 Projector Demonstration
I recently got my Optoma HD65 Projector and I thought I would post a few sample videos of what it can do. This is a quick video of my current setup which is running in mid-day light, and still looks very good on the wall. The projector is sitting approx. 100 inches from the wall, with a diagonal screen size of approx. 80 inches(about 70 inches wide and 40 inches high). The picture quality is superb, and while the screen size might not be as large as I would like it to be, this is more than made up for by the amazing quality of the image. I use my projector mainly for gaming, but also for Blu-Ray movies, as well as hockey games when they are on, and it works fantastic for these things.
