They say "like" once every 11th seconds. Out of the entire episode, 12 minutes were dialogue, and in those 12 minutes, they said the word "like" 82 times. That boils down to 7 "like" a minute, or 1 "like" every 11th second. If that doesn't scare you, nothing will. :) To my great despair, I had forgot to switch off MTV one day, and an episode of "Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County" came on. I was so unbelievably annoyed with what I saw/heard on that "show" that I had to express my feelings for it with this short video. It is, in all its simplicity; the essence of the show. The video was released as part of the discovery process in Fleuret's lawsuit. It comes a few months after a drunken homeless man died after being tased in the Orange County jail. The highly anticipated DVD is the first-ever full-length concert release from the band and only the second time that the group has ever been captured on film. This event was filmed on Jan. 19, 2003, at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Featured are Mike Ness (vocals/guitar), Jonny "2 Bags" Wickersham (guitar), John Mauer (bass), and Charlie Quintana (drums). Exploding out of Southern California in the early 1980s, punk band Social Distortion added a unique twist to their music, helping them stand out from the unwashed masses who were picking up guitars and learning a few chords. That twist was taken from the previously unchartered punk territories of--shriek!--country and western music. But when singer Mike Ness and cohorts took to the stage, all prejudices against the genre were forgotten, and audiences were soon swelling in size as the group layed down their inimitable tunes at shows across the country. The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. They are considered a controversial and influential band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death on July 3, 1971, the remaining members continued as a threesome until disbanding in 1973.
